We can tailor an activity programme for your group, or if you would prefer, you can of course do your own thing. The Outdoor Centre at Kilve Court is in the quiet village of Kilve. Just north of the Quantock Hills in Somerset and just a short walk away from Kilve’s Beach (The Jurassic coast), the centre’s location makes this an ideal venue as a base for walking, mountain biking and youth adventure groups. There are also plenty of local attractions to explore with your group, including Dunster Castle, Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury or Weston Super Mare, all within 60 minutes of the centre. We maintain the highest standards of health and safety and hold an AALS licence. Our kit and equipment are regularly inspected and our instructors hold a number of recognised qualifications, and are highly experienced in working with young people. As a service we work with over 12,000 young people a year aged between 7 and 18 years. There is a kitchen attached to a large multi purpose hall/dining room, the Quantock Hall. Groups are generally catered for by the centre with delicious child friendly food. There are male and female children’s and adults showers and toilets, and there is a decent size drying room for kit. There is plenty of hard standing and grassy areas outside for you to enjoy and relax. ## Additional Features - Risk Assessments - Presentation Aids - Outdoor Activities - Educational Focus ## Facilities - **Dog Friendly:** Pets are not allowed on site. - **Accessibility:** One cabin, which sleeps 3, is designed with disabled access in mind. There is also disabled access to the toilets/showers and main hall. - **WiFi:** The centre has WiFi for guests. Mobile phone coverage is okay on some networks. - **Kitchen:** Modern commercial kitchen with a gas oven, 6 hobs, 2 fryers, Rational catering oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, usual kit to cater for large groups. - **Dining Room:** Large multi purpose hall that can seat up to 86 people, the tables can be collapsed and moved around to suit your groups needs. - **Sitting Room:** There is no separate sitting room, however there are sofas in the main hall to relax in plus tea/coffee making facilities and a large fridge. - **TV and Music Facilities:** Ceiling mounted projector and screen in the main hall and equipment/cables to play DVDs and music. - **Games Room:** We don't have a games room as such although we have some board games, giant Jenga, giant Connect 4 and a TV. - **Heating and Open Fires:** There is heating in all indoor areas. We have a camp fire within the grounds of the centre. - **Bedrooms:** 16 cabins of which 14 have 5 beds and 2 have 3 beds in bunk bed layout. A room plan is available on request (sleeps 76). - **Linen:** A pillow is provided but you will need to bring your own bedding. - **Bathrooms:** There are separate children's and adult showers and toilets and each are marked male and female. - **Children's Facilities:** The Outdoor Centre is child friendly, and has giant Jenga and Connect 4 available to use (not just for children!). - **Outdoor:** Plenty of outside space to enjoy.
