## About The Property

Parson House is approx 1400 ft above sea level in its own grounds, a converted sheep farm, charitable organisation (517419) which has been open for 51 years run by the same family (2nd generation) as a comfortable, good quality residential base. Built in the late 18th century and once owned by the Duke of Rutland, Parson House OPC has been converted into a beautiful stone built centre with comfort and easy access in mind. An excellent place for young children to adults - families, stag and hen groups, schools all love Parson House due to our location and atmosphere, and the centre is in an amazing geographical area for schools and field trips.

Get involved in outdoor activities during the day and party at night in the local villages, or let us take you to Sheffield city centre, a friendly and vibrant city - create a weekend to remember. Or simply come and relax in the beautiful grounds. You always get the best from us with a family feel to it.

The centre sleeps max 30 and the minimum group size is 10, whether its self catering or all inclusive. Sole occupancy is always given, and your group can hire the house for self catering, organising your own entertainment, or opt for full catering/accommodation and an outdoor programme - we can provide a high standard of accommodation and instruction, with good home cooking. Whatever you'd like, just give us a call and we will accommodate.

Facilities : large dining room seating the whole group, well equipped kitchen, TV room, games room, drying room, tuck shop, sports hall with indoor climbing wall and large obstacle course (extra cost). Bedrooms have private bathroom facilities and vary in size, some at ground floor level. There is free WiFi available.  

Stanage Edge, Lawrencefield and Burbage north and south are on our doorstep, to mention a few of the great climbing areas. For hill walking or mountain biking, you can step out of the door and you won't need your car. Or go further afield to Mam Tor, Kinder Scout and Bleaklow. Castleton boasts the beautiful caves with Blue John and visit Eyam, the plague village. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are within 20 minute drive. Sheffield city centre 20 min drive

- **Accessibility:** The ground floor is wheelchair accessible to the dining room, games room and bedrooms, with a seat in the shower, rails and easy access outside.
- **WiFi:** Free WiFi. There is good mobile reception out of the building in the surrounding yard.
- **Kitchen:** The kitchen caters comfortably for 30 people; large oven and hob, fryers, large fridge and deep freeze, fully equipped. All crockery is provided.
- **Dining Room:** Seats 30 people comfortably. 4 large tables with chairs.
- **Sitting Room:** A comfortable lounge area upstairs, seats 30, with TV and quiet area. Free WiFi.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** TV and DVD player is situated in the upstairs lounge, stereo, docking station. Free WiFi.
- **Games Room:** Large games room with table tennis, dart board, table football. This room is downstairs.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** Central heating.
- **Bedrooms:** Upstairs - 1 x 6 people (all bunks),1 x 8 people, 2 twins.
Downstairs - 2 x 6 people. All with private showers, toilets and wash basins next door.
- **Linen:** All linen is provided, at an extra cost, or you can bring your own. Please bring your own towels.
- **Bathrooms:** Private shower/toilet areas for each bedroom, with up to 2 or 3 showers in each area.
- **Children's Facilities:** The centre is designed for all, games room, TV lounge, lots of open space to play in. Rooms have bunk beds, travel cot on request.
- **Outdoor:** Surrounded by fields, lots of play area, 24hr security, tranquil, BBQ area, access onto the moors for walking, mountain biking.
- **Swimming Pool:** No but Hathersage has a heated open air pool 3 miles away.
- **Parking:** 24 hr secure (with security cameras) parking long way off the main road, right outside your accommodation.
- **Smoking:** Smoking is allowed outside the buildings, non smoking inside.
