## About The Property

The newly refurbished Peak Lodge at Roaches Bunkhouse in the Peak District is a self contained lodge, accommodating 25 guests across 5-bedrooms lodge and is designed to be accessible for all groups. This comfortable bunkhouse has all the amenities you will need, with a large lounge area with TV and featuring dining tables seating up to 25, and a large fully equipped self catering kitchen. There's WiFi coverage and cosy underfloor heating too. Each of the 5 bedrooms sleeps 5 people in stylish cabin bunk beds (with one bedroom on the ground floor) and bed linen is provided (but not towels - please bring your own). Outside there's a patio area with a barbecue supplied and a heated drying cupboard for wet kit on those rainy days, and free parking.

The lodge is set in the quaint hamlet of Upper Hulme at the foot of the spectacular Roaches in the Peak District National Park. The area boasts beautiful scenery and offers endless walking and climbing routes for you to explore making it the perfect spot for outdoor enthusiasts. Plus, with local pubs and amenities just a stone's throw away, you’ll find everything you need for a memorable stay.

Ye olde Rock Inn is a 5 minute walk and serves fabulous food, and there are lots more local country pubs serving fantastic food and with an up and coming music scene featuring local artists. The local market town of Leek has lots of independent shops and markets. There are also many local activities such as climbing, axe throwing, shereing, canoeing, paddle boarding, spas, breweries, climbing wall, Pak Wildlife Park, Alton Towers, Tittesworth Water, Rudyard Lake, Pooles Cavern, Go Ape and much more which we are happy to recommend.

Roaches Bunkhouse is historically a bunkhouse which is the reason we have kept the name and, although the beds are still in a similar bunk style, it is so much more since being refurbished in 2025 with stunning décor and a lovely space for spending time with friends and family.

Adjoining Stanley's Rest sleeping 9 in 2 further bedrooms is also available for larger groups.

We are happy to host Hen/Stag/birthday parties, however we do ask that both lodges are booked for these kind of stays so other guests are not disturbed. Please message before booking.

- **Location:** The nearest town is Leek, located approximately 3 miles south on the A53. Also the beautiful Peak District spa town of Buxton is located 10 miles north on the A53.
- **Shop:** Our nearest shops are located in the market town Leek where there is an Asda Local, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Aldi and Lidl as well as a reasonable selection of expected town centre shops.
- **Food and Drink:** Ye Olde Rock Inn pub - 150m. Roaches Tea Rooms/Café - 1/2 mile. Three Horseshoes pub - 1 mile. The Lazy Trout pub - 2 ½ miles. There are no local/village shops in Upper Hulme or Meerbrook.
- **Airport:** Manchester Airport is 27 miles away (approximately 1hr).
- **Train:** Macclesfield has our nearest main line train station - 13 miles or approximately 1/2hr. Buxton also has a train station but it is an hour train journey to Manchester for main line stations.
