This comfortable holiday house is perfect for 3 generation families, friends, walkers, sailors and watersport enthusiasts. Located just beyond Mylor Habour and on the Coastal Path, Penarrow House is just the ticket for a holiday or celebration by the sea at any time of year. With direct water access and boat launch nearby, this location is popular with the sailing community and for exploring the Carrick Roads estuary. Moorings and marina berths can be booked with the harbour office and water sport equipment can be hired. There are plenty of other things to do for those who don't have their sea legs, including a walk to the pretty village of Flushing or to Mylor Bridge.
Penarrow House is a great base from which to discover this part of the Cornish coast, with good living accommodation including a drawing come TV room with a wood burner and dining area adjacent. The kitchen and breakfast room overlook the rear garden and the utility room beyond has a washer, dryer, dishwasher and fridge freezer. The games room with table tennis is off the kitchen and there is a sun room in front of the rear terrace for drying wet kit.
The mature gardens have large lawns for family games and outdoor seating for barbecues or for simply relaxing and taking in the waterfront views. Dogs are welcome too and there's plenty of space to exercise them at Penarrow House or on the coastal path.
The 5 bedrooms are configured as a super king, a king and 3 twins. The master super king has been newly decorated for 2024 and has an en suite shower room and a seating area in the bay window. The family bathroom has a bath and there's also a shared shower room. For convenience there is a downstairs loo.
Opt for a day out in Falmouth, or head to Castle Beach, Gyllyngvase Beach or Swanpool for a trip to the seaside. Swanpool is a fantastic sheltered beach, safe for swimming. Pendennis Castle is worth a visit, built by Henry VIII against an invasion - nowadays the children will enjoy the adventure trails and soft play area. Just along the path is Mylor Cafe for a coffee or Castaways Restaurant for an evening meal overlooking the marina.
