Dating from around 1800, Penbridge Court is a beautifully restored, converted threshing barn with farm cottages grouped around a spacious courtyard. Nestled on the edge of the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The perfect place to spend time with family and friends, the Penbridge Estate combines homely luxury with stress-free living. Dine in style, relax in the hot tub or snuggle up with a glass of your favourite bubbly. Ideal for celebration meals with friends and family, the dining room seats up to 24 guests banquet style.  Featuring a log-burning stove to help keep you warm on cold days and equipped with Rangemaster ovens, the sizeable but cosy open-plan farmhouse kitchen has a large central island, a wooden "butcher's block" and everything you need to cook both for - and with - your group. In the Barn, 4 of the 6 bedrooms are en-suite, while the remaining 2 bedrooms (twin beds) share a large family bathroom. The Barn has a wheelchair friendly ground floor en-suite double. The neighbouring cottages are self-contained with fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms. The sheltered and secluded rear garden offers privacy and secure space. Soak up the sun in these beautiful and tranquil grounds, have fun playing ball or a gentle game of croquet. A games room with pool table stands ready for rainy days. The spectacular surrounding countryside is only disturbed by the whistle of the heritage steam train that runs along the nearby tourist line. Take a short stroll back in time to the award-winning and much-filmed station at Crowcombe Heathfield. Stunning walks and hikes are easy to find on the nearby Quantock Hills. This calm, welcoming home from home is directly off the A358 but has no passing traffic. Great family days out are on the doorstep, from gorgeous Lynmouth or the beaches of Watchet and Doniford to the National Trust's Dunster Castle. Exmoor National Park is within easy reach. Penbridge Court is children, golfer and dog-friendly. Nearby is a good pub, while local shops are just 3 miles away in Bishops Lydeard. Viewings welcome by appointment. ## Facilities - **Dog Friendly:** We do allow pets at an additional cost. Dogs are charged at a flat fee of £50 for the first dog. £25 per dog thereafter. - **Accessibility:** We have had many disabled guests. There are two cottages that are easily accessible. - **WiFi:** Excellent WiFi with a dedicated fibre line. - **Kitchen:** A large well equipped farmhouse kitchen with log burner and Rangemaster oven, 2 sinks, dishwasher and large American-style fridge freezer. - **Dining Room:** Open plan dining room in the Barn with room for 24 seated for the perfect dinner party. - **Sitting Room:** The Barn boasts 2 sitting rooms, one with huge log burner and cosy Chesterfield sofas, and the other a light and airy garden room. - **TV and Music Facilities:** There are 2 TVs in the Barn. Recommend jam boxes for music. Internal use only. - **Electric Vehicle Charging:** 2 EV charging stations. - **Heating and Open Fires:** There is central heating. There are 4 log burners on site: 2 in the Barn, 1 in the Byre and 1 in the Stable. All logs and kindling are supplied. - **Bedrooms:** The Barn has 6 bedrooms, 4 en suite, and sleeps 13 max. 4 bedrooms in the cottages, 3 doubles and 1 twin. We also have 2 sofa beds, 3 guest beds. - **Linen:** All linen is supplied as well as towels for inside. - **Bathrooms:** 2 family bathrooms and 4 en suites. The cottages have their own bathrooms. There is a mix of showers and baths. - **Children's Facilities:** We have a wooden cot and travel cots, linen not supplied. 2 wooden high chairs. - **Outdoor:** barbecues, garden seating and dining areas. Pricing is based on up to 20 adult guests inclusive. Penbridge Estate is only ever let exclusively to one booking group at a time.
