## About The Property

One of the most relaxing things about a party at Penhein? No taxis to book or hotels to find: we can sleep up to 40 adults or 48 if a mixed group of adults and children. 

Each of our 8 luxurious, self-catering alachigh tents is set in a small private wood, has an en-suite loo, wood burning stove and fire pit. Each also has a private shower outside or a shower (and one roll top bath) in the wonderful shower block (think monsoon showers and underfloor heating!). 

There are 2 fabulous, shared spaces. The first is Chehel Sotoun. Set in a stunning grove within the glampsite, the name is inspired by the 17th century grand pavilion of the King of Persia. A wonderful outside/inside space, it has a glorious stretch canvas cover, open sides for that outdoors party feel and tables & seating for up to 50 guests. At the top end is a large outdoor firepit surrounded by a semicircle of wooden seating, known as The Cwtch (Welsh for a cuddle). From sit-down dinners to wonderful workshops, family gatherings to memorable reunions, this is the perfect space for that extra special occasion.

Second is Petro, a beautiful tent offering a cosy space, comfy armchairs, electrical sockets, a reading lamp, a warming wood-burning stove and enough tables & benches for a sit-down dinner for 36. Kitted out for families and friends to enjoy getting together, it's also perfect as a ‘chill out zone’ for a larger group. Just outside is a huge fire pit (and an extra large BBQ) with sensational views across the meadows and down the valley to the River Severn.

Both of these spaces are included in the price of a whole site hire. You can decorate them to suit the occasion.

You may wish to handle all the catering yourself, in which case we have the 'Cheat’s Kitchen', conveniently situated next to Chehel Sotoun. Alternatively, if you would like to indulge in a little outsourcing, we have a hand-picked selection of suppliers to create the dream party.

There’s lots to do at Penhein, from bushcraft, foraging and clay pigeon shooting to treasure hunting, archery and more. There is also the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean on our doorstep, places for more fabulous activities for groups.

## Facilities

- **Dog Friendly:** Whole site booking is max 6 dogs. Dogs must be on a lead at all times and must never be alone in a tent. Each dog subject to a fee.

## Booking Information

- Please see our online calendar for availability, prices and to book. Please note, prices include a non-refundable £50 Booking Fee per tent
- We offer a variety of options, from 2 & 3 night weekend stays, to 2, 3 & 5 night midweek stays
- Our prices are all inclusive – no extras for wood, kindling, cots, high chairs, bedding or towels. The fully kitted out kitchen in each tent comes with all the pots, pans, crockery etc you need, plus herbs, spices, salt and pepper and more
- Each tent sleeps up to 4 people, with a large and comfy sofabed for a fifth adult or two small children
- If the sofabed is required the cost is £10 per adult or £10 for two children, per night for linen
- If you have booked a two night weekend stay there is the option to extend the Sunday checkout to 5.00pm for a supplement of £50 per tent
- Please note that we have a music curfew of 11.00pm

Penhein Glamping is in the centre of family-owned Penhein Farm, just outside the village of Llanvair Discoed, near Chepstow, set in the glorious countryside of Monmouthshire, South Wales.

We are well served by good road routes, with the A449, A48, M4 and M5 providing good access to onwards travel.

Within a short drive is the beautiful Wye Valley and Forest of Dean, where walking, cycling, climbing, sight seeing and much more is available.

- **Shop:** The nearest supermarket is about 15 minutes drive, but all the major supermarkets will deliver to the site if booked.
