This lovely country estate is a real find for somewhere special to meet up with friends, family, corporate groups and intimate weddings in the heart of the Galloway National Park. Set in 100 acres of parkland, woodland and mature gardens, Penninghame is a grand Scottish hideaway providing luxury accommodation across 6 units.

Multi generational family groups will love the choice of lodges and apartments as well as on site bowling and croquet. The River Cree runs through the grounds and it is possible to obtain fishing permits for local fishing for those who fancy a catch of brown trout. Cree Hall Function Room is a fantastic addition to what is on offer. For business meetings there is room for 40 delegates and, for weddings or group meals, space for all guests to sit down together and eat.

With 7 Stanes cycling routes and hiking trails from the doorsteps of Penninghame, there's no real need to get into the car at all. Worth a visit though is Glentrool Visitor Centre, only a 10 minute drive, recently awarded Dark Sky Status and the ideal place to do some stargazing. For avid readers, Wigtown is close by, known as Scotland's National Book Town since 1998. After ambling through some delightful second-hand book shops, there is a great range of independent cafes to drop into including ReadingLasses for coffee lovers everywhere and tasty cake. The seaside town of Portpatrick can be reached in 45 minutes. There is a range of good golf courses in the locality.

The bedrooms are configured as a combination of doubles, twins, triples and singles, all individually and tastefully designed. Airy spaces with large windows or skylights, they allow the light to flood in. Bathrooms are plentiful across all of the properties.

- **Outdoor:** All of the units have outdoor seating and gardens. Bowling green, terrace, croquet and walled garden. Walking and cycling routes. Firepit in grounds.

- Minimum stay 3 nights. 30% deposit to secure booking, balance due 1 month prior to stay. Damage deposit of £250 per lodge and £500 for Cree Hall held on preauthorisation. Cree Hall is £350 per day.
