The House is the centre-piece of a working rural estate, and is surrounded by a remarkable group of historic buildings. It has been home to the same family since it was first built in 1666.
The self contained West Wing of Penpont is ideal for friend and family gatherings. Spend time to together in a stunning environment with access to amazing grounds and tennis court, lying next to the River Usk.
Around the big house and buildings lie 40 acres of garden to explore, get lost in the maze, run the labyrinth, take the Tree Trail guide around the grounds, walk in the Victorian woodland, play on the lawns. It is perfect for families no need to travel out each day, you can relax on site, there is plenty to do and loads of space for everyone

Access is from a inner courtyard where there is a games room, which can double up as a storage space for bikes etc. There is also a drying room for damp coats and wellies.
There is an Organic Walled Garden, Fruit and Vegetables grown on site are sold in a small on-site Farm Shop from June through to December.
There is access to a mile long beat of the river, day passes are available from the house. It is fly only, and catch and release, but this beat offers some of the finest spring trout fishing in Wales. You need to bring your own rods and tackle.
Penpont is ideally situated for accessing all of the National Park. From walking the Beacons to exploring the quiet streets of Hay, a week can fly by and we are on hand to give you first hand local information about where to go and what's on.
