Nestled in idyllic surroundings and conveniently situated within 2 hours of most of Wales, Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham, this is also a great base for a walking or cycling holiday. At Pentrenant Hall, a large holiday house near Montgomery, groups of friends and families can enjoy exclusive use of a centrally heated 19th century gentleman's residence.

The house works well for a wide range of group types: family holidays and reunions, youth summer camps, business team-building events, organisations and church events. All are welcome.

The house has a large lounge with a wood-burning stove for those winter evenings, a smaller lounge for more intimate groups, two fully equipped kitchens and a large dining room suitable for all guests at one sitting. On-site activities include a games room with pool and table tennis tables, air hockey and table football.

Outside there is plenty of space for team games. There are lawn badminton, tennis and volleyball courts, and quiet secluded areas to lose yourself in a good read. Between Easter and September, there's a solar-heated swimming pool to use, and a recent addition is a six-person hot tub with a patio for al fresco dining. One of our favourite locations is the fire-pit area with brazier, rustic log seating and atmospheric lighting. 

Numerous good walks including the Offas Dyke Path, the Kerry Ridgeway, the Stiper-Stones are within easy reach. The Long Mynd, the Elan Valley and the Cambrian wilderness are slightly further afield.
