This idyllic retreat boasts four bedrooms, comfortably accommodating 10 guests, with an additional double sofa bed to cater for a group of 12.

With an abundance of living space, your friends and family can indulge in delightful moments of dining, relaxation, play, and culinary adventures. The house is flooded with natural light, courtesy of the expansive windows.

The dining and sitting rooms effortlessly accommodate 14 individuals, while the spacious kitchen, complete with a generous corner sofa, ensures no cook is left alone.

Unwind with a game of pool, play our rickety old piano, or enjoy games on the back lawn surrounded by woods. This is a haven of serenity and tranquility.

Pinetree lies at the foot of Oliver’s Mount, an area of breathtaking natural beauty and the historic site of the Civil War battle of Roundway Down. Explore the surrounding woodland and fields, leading you to the iconic White Horse above Devizes, symbolising the charm of Wiltshire and the West Country. This holiday house offers a truly enchanting experience.

Discover the captivating local market town of Devizes, steeped in rich history and architectural delights, with over 500 listed buildings. There is a bustling Market Place at its core, don’t miss the vibrant Thursday market full of local fruit and veg. Book supper at the Black Swan, a beautiful Georgian Coaching Inn in Devizes or the George and Dragon, another old Coaching Inn, which is even closer in the village of Rowde.

Devizes is just 20 miles from Bath, 16 miles from Stonehenge and 8 miles from Avebury. It is within easy distance of the beautiful Lacock village and abbey, of Bowood House and its adventure playground and the Longleat safari park. Pinetree is the perfect base for exploring Wiltshire and its surrounding areas, such as Castle Combe, Marlborough, Market Lavington, Seend, Corsham.

We are easily accessible from London and Heathrow, and just a short drive from Chippenham or Pewsey stations. Your dream getaway awaits at Pinetree Holiday Cottage.

Our fully and generously equipped kitchen, boasts a magnificent and spacious range, catering for up to 22 comfortably.

Our dining room accommodates up to 18 effortlessly, with the option to extend to 22. This spacious setting is ideal for large groups.

Sitting Room

Our vast sitting room is upstairs with the pool table nearby. Many of our guests use the sitting room as a glorious space for yoga.

TV and Music Facilities

Flat screen TV and entertainment system: 50" in main sitting room.

Games Room

Wifi, billiards table, library of 200 books, children's games, DVD collection.

Heating and Open Fires

Underfloor heating throughout Pine Tree.

Bedrooms

4 bedrooms, 2 downstairs with disabled access and 2 upstairs. All rooms are doubles, some beds can be split into singles. One room sleeps 4.

Linen

Linen and towels provided, crisp sheets, duvets and fluffy towels.

Outdoor

Our long tables and benches can comfortably seat up to 14, so that you can dine in the tranquility of nature. Beautiful garden with BBQ facilities.

Bathrooms

One ground floor en-suite bathroom (off the master) with a large bath. Two additional bathrooms which have toilets and showers.

Parking

Ample secure parking for up to 6 cars in the driveway. Pine Tree is secluded, with no close neighbours.

Smoking

No smoking please.

Booking Information

We charge £1400 for a 2 night weekend. For a 3 night weekend we charge £1800. For a week long booking we charge £2200. During half terms and school holidays we usually charge 10% more.

We ask for a non refundable deposit of £300 to secure a booking. The balance will then be due a month before your arrival date. Payments are usually made by bank transfer.

Devizes is the local market town just 5 minutes away. The Kennett and Avon canal provides a lovely walk directly into town.
Morrisons, Tescos and Sainsburys are in Devizes, along with many local shops, butchers and bakeries. There is an open market every Thursday. There is a village shop in Rowde, 2 minutes’ drive away.
Local pubs, restaurants and bars in ample supply both walking and driving distance. Book of local attractions sent on booking.
