Depending on the size of your group, please be aware that we may keep some bedroom locked as well as the staff only areas such as the kitchen) ## About The Property This extended former farmhouse located at the headwaters of the River Barle offers a unique opportunity to stay at the heart of Exmoor National Park's beautiful moorland landscape. With flexible accommodation and a wide range of facilities, a stay in Pinkery is an experience not to be forgotten. Pinkery is so remote that it is "off grid" and has its own wind turbine and solar panels (backed up with a generator), so you really do get a sense of getting away from it all. A short walk will take you up past the famous Pinkery Pond up onto the open moor with its Bronze Age barrows, wild red deer and wide open spaces. Pinkery sleeps up to 32 in dormitories sleeping 4, 5 or 6, each with its own en suite facilities. Groups have the use of a well equipped self catering kitchen and dining room able to seat the whole group, with tables arranged to suit the group's requirements. Upstairs there is the facility to hire an addional social room which doubles as a classroom when required. Set in stunning open moorland, this bunkhouse is ideal for activity groups and those wanting to immerse themselves in the great outdoors. Always offered with exclusive use, we welcome all types of groups. Further enhancing our ecological approach the building is heated by a biomass boiler fueled from wood sustainably and locally sourced. Guests can also use the log burner in the lounge to return to the cosy glow of a real fire. (Fire wood available to purchase seperately).  Wifi is available in the communal areas.  ## Facilities - **Dog Friendly:** Pets are allowed so long as they are kept to the hard floor areas. - **Accessibility:** Two bedrooms are suitable for disabled access and the majority of the property is accessible, with the exception of the upstairs classroom. - **WiFi:** There is no mobile reception within the building though this can be accessed up hill behind the Centre but WiFi is available in all common areas. - **Kitchen:** 2 domestic electric electric oven and 5 ring induction hob. Microwave, 2 fridge freezers, toaster, pans and crockery to suit 32. Tea towels. - **Dining Room:** There is seating for up to 32 people. Please feel free to arrange the tables in whatever configuration suits you best. - **Sitting Room:** There is seating for up to 32 people on sofas with coffee tables. There is a log burner. - **TV and Music Facilities:** There is a projector in the Lounge, please ask when booking if needed. - **Heating and Open Fires:** A Biomass boiler supplies our heating as part of our climate commitment and we also have a small wood burner in the lounge for guests to enjoy. - **Bedrooms:** Up to 9 dorm rooms with either 4, 5 or 6 bunks in each, all en suite. - **Linen:** All bed linen except towels is provided. - **Bathrooms:** All bedrooms are en suite with each room having its own shower. - **Children's Facilities:** No additional equipment is supplied but we are a very child friendly building. - **Outdoor:** Outside is the open moorland where you are free to roam! - **Parking:** Our private car park is large enough for 15 cars. - **Smoking:** Smoking is not permitted in the property. ## Rental Rates ### Headline rates - From **£1500** per week - From **£1050** for a 3-night weekend - From **£800** for a 2-night weekend - From **£300** per midweek night ## Booking Information - Payment will need to be a 25% deposit paid to secure the booking with the balance due 8 weeks before arrival. We operate a £200.00 damage deposit for a stay and all prices are based upon up to 16 staying.
