## About The Property

Accommodation is warm and comfortable sleeping 35 in bedrooms of 4-6 beds with en-suite hand basins. We offer a large common room with small kitchenette for group use, a separate dining room and modern toilet and showers facilities. Set in approx. 2 acres of private grounds there is a pond and a mixture of Dartmoor fauna and flora. There is ample parking for cars and minibuses.

The centre is fully catered and has the Healthy Schools award. We use local produce wherever possible buying meat from the local butcher, bread from the local baker and vegetables and fruit from a traditional wholesale greengrocer. Our cooks provide a full cooked breakfast, we provide you with all the ingredients for making healthy packed lunches and at the end of the day the cooks produce delicious evening meals such as roasts, curries, lasagne etc. followed by traditional puddings such as fruit crumble and custard!

Outdoor Learning activities are offered by our own team of skilled Outdoor Education Tutors along with specialist partner providers such as Dartmoor National Park Rangers and Guides. We offer a range of programs that have been developed over recent years in partnership with visiting groups. We think these reflect the needs of groups and offer value for money whilst having clear outdoor learning aims.

Pixies Holt is available to hire for Schools, youth or community groups and other organised groups. During the school summer term and busy periods we ask groups to also book one of our Outdoor Learning programs. At other times you may book just the accommodation or accommodation and activities.

## Facilities

- **WiFi:** Public payphone (there is no mobile phone reception at the centre, but signal can be gained approx. 200m uphill)
- **Accessibility:** First floor wet room with disabled facilities. Limited access to first floor common room up two flights of stairs.
- **Dog Friendly:** No pets inside the building, pets by arrangement in the centre grounds.
- **Kitchen:** Accommodation is offered on a fully catered basis. There is a kitchenette in the common room allowing groups to make hot and cold drinks.
- **Dining Room:** Bright and airy room with dining tables and benches. Direct access to sunny veranda.
- **Sitting Room:** Large bright common room with soft chairs, interactive whiteboard and free wifi, table tennis, kitchenette to make hot & cold drinks.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** large interactive whiteboard and free wifi
- **Games Room:** We do not have a games room, but there is a table tennis table in common room.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** Oil fired central heating throughout.
- **Bedrooms:** 9 bedrooms; 2 twin rooms, 6 rooms with bunk beds of between 4-10 beds. All rooms have wash hand basins
- **Linen:** Duvets and pillows are provided. You will need to bring a bottom sheet, duvet cover and pillow case.
- **Bathrooms:** Modern toilet and shower facilities, separate WC's on both floors. Separate toilet and showers for group leaders.
- **Children's Facilities:** Large natural gardens full of fauna and flora, flat lawn to play ball games, table tennis table in common room, Dartmoor on the doorstep!
- **Outdoor:** Approx 2 acres of natural gardens full of fauna and flora, flat lawn to play ball games, picnic benches, sunny veranda, Dartmoor on the doorstep!
- **Parking:** Parking for cars and minibuses in private car park.
- **Smoking:** No smoking in the building or grounds, smoking allowed in car park.

- Fully catered accommodation £40.00 (+VAT) per person per night. Prices from £2880 (+VAT) for 4 nights based on min charge of 18 people from November to March, £3840 min charge 24 people April to October. Activity prices on request.
