Dating back to the 1500's (1588) Plas Dol y Moch was once a Tudor manor house. Renovated throughout the years, in 1966 Plas Dol y Moch was purchased by Coventry City Council to deliver Outdoor and Adventure Education Courses.

During the holiday periods, the Centre is now available for groups to book on a self-catering basis. We welcome large family groups, organisations and religious groups - sorry, no hens or stags.

Split over 2 buildings, the Centre offers dormitory-style accommodation in the main house for up to 47 people or, for an additional fee, both the house and converted stables with another 40 beds.

Main Centre: Sleeps 47 guests across 12 bedrooms, with the main kitchen and dining room
Stable Block: Sleeps an additional 40 guests when taken with the Main Centre

Accommodation is within dormitories predominantly with double or triple bunked rooms. Both accommodation blocks have drying room areas to hang up your adventure kit!

Booking Information

Groups may either book the House (£600 per night) with up to 47 beds, of for an additional fee (£400) groups may add the 40 bed converted Stables block.

20% non refundable deposit on booking with the full fee due 30 days prior to your visit.

Groups will be required to leave a £150 deposit which will be returned provided the Centre is left in a clean undamaged condition following your visit. Any damages in excess of £150 will invoiced following your departure.

Minimum stay of 2 nights.

Location

Located in the heart of the Eryri National Park, Plas Dol y Moch is an ideal location for those wanting to escape in the mountains, or be close to the coast.

Ideal for adventurous guests keen to explore the local rivers, lakes, mountains or mines. Within a short drive from the Centre is the now famous Zip World with its zip lines, underground experiences or down hill mountain bike trails. Porthmadog for those keen to visit the coast or visit the steam trains. Portmeirion, which needs to be seen!

Located on the Southern end of the park are some of the less frequented mountains, steeped in history from the slate mining days.
