With a variety of accommodation options, and flexible catering arrangements, Plas Dolau is suitable for large groups of friends and family, youth and school residential trips and corporate group getaways. Please note that we do not accept hen and stag groups. Plas Dolau is available with exclusive or shared use.

The estate is situated in 25 acres of wood and farmland in the Rheidol valley three miles from the University Town of Aberystwyth. Close to the sea and within easy reach of the Cambrian Mountains, there is plenty to explore (or study). Aberystwyth has much to offer, from the National Library of Wales and the Arts Centre to the shops, museum and cinema of the town. The coast and Snowdonia National Park are both close by, with a wealth of activities available to choose from.

Plas Dolau has a mixture of family rooms and dormitories, which sleep up to 45 people. With two kitchens and lounges, it adapts well to large and small groups. There is full central heating, plenty of bathrooms and toilets,. All of the family bedrooms have TVs as well as tea and coffee making equipment. There is a comfortable lounge with a TV.

If your group is larger, Y Gelli provides comfortable accommodation in a Swedish farm guesthouse. There is also plenty of space outside for additional guests in tents or caravan.

We provide bed and breakfast, with evening meals and packed lunches by arrangement.

With three lounges, the facilities are also suitable for business events, and we offer an attractive day rate for meetings.

The surrounding countryside has plenty of interest for family outings or for school groups wishing to study the Environment. The forestry centres abound in wildlife, there are the fish ladders and a hydro-electric scheme in the Rheidol valley, and there is much opportunity within a few miles of studying the marine environment.
