Plas Mynach is a unique Grade II* listed house situated in one of the most beautiful parts of Britain. It was built in the 1880s as a substantial holiday home, and stands on a rocky outcrop overlooking the sea making a dramatic statement. Sleeps 12, or smaller groups by arrangement.
Today it still fulfils its original purpose with spacious rooms, comfortably equipped for a relaxing holiday or special occasion. It is set in its own, largely wooded, grounds and offers total privacy and magnificent sea and mountain views.
The ground floor offers very spacious living rooms, with a panelled hall, and light-filled sitting room with dining room able to seat 12. There are six bedrooms, with one of them on the ground floor, and offers flexible accommodation
The Tower Flat which sleeps 2 is also available if your group is a little larger, or some members would prefer a separate space. With it's own living room and a private sun terrace, the Tower Flat has spectacular sea and mountain views.
Barmouth stands at the mouth of the glorious Mawddach estuary and faces the open expanse of Cardigan Bay. It is a small town with miles of sandy beaches and the usual entertainments of a coastal resort. There are a variety of bars and eateries. The town also has a railway station. Further up the coast are the splendid castles of Harlech and Caernarfon, while inland stand the wild hills and mountains of Snowdonia.
Barmouth has a wealth of festivals throughout the summer months, and there's lots for friends and families to enjoy, ranging from fabulous beaches to golf courses, white water activities and zip wires, pony trekking and excellent mountain biking.
