## About The Property

Polmaily House is a beautiful historic home built by the Grant clan back in the late 1720's, making it nearly 300 years old. As a former hotel in a previous life, Polmaily House is unique in Scotland, being able to offer so many facilities to its guests, including exclusive use of the heated indoor swimming pool, tennis court, private cinema room, undercover games area, croquet lawn and brown trout fishing lake. There is so much to keep even the most active happy and that's even before one has left the site to explore the world famous Loch Ness which is just a 3 minute drive away.

Whether you are searching for Nessie, planning an action-packed stay or just seeking rest and relaxation, Polmaily House has it all. Polmaily House would even be perfect if you are planning your own retreat or yoga workshop.

All 12 rooms have recently been refurbished and offer the highest standard in luxury and comfort, yet the house is still cosy and comfortable with guests being drawn to the log fire and the amazing starry nights in winter or the long hours of daylight and array of outdoor activities in the summer.

Up to 24 guests can gather for dinner, a board game or just a chat in the conservatory dining room and can then disperse to the various other reception rooms in the house. Maybe take in a drink in the bar or a movie in the cinema room!

Hosts, Chris & Deb, are happy to help plan your trip and help with ideas for your stay. Quizzes, treasure hunts, pool parties, cocktail tasting, croquet, Highland Games are some of the popular activities, but the list of possible activities is almost endless. An evening meal or an afternoon tea could also be arranged for guests (at an additional charge).

The fantastic Aigas 9 hole golf course is a 20 minute drive away, as is the 'Most beautiful glen in Scotland' - Glen Affric. Inverness offers a host of activities and cultural experiences. But the stars of the show, Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle are just over 2 miles from Polmaily. Will you be the next person to spot Nessie??

## Facilities

- **Dog Friendly:** Pets are allowed but restricted to two dogs. We must be informed of this prior to your arrival as we have two dogs of our own.
- **Accessibility:** The house does not have any ground floor bedrooms but does have a ground floor toilets.
- **WiFi:** WIFI throughout the house and works especially well in the lounge, breakfast room and some bedrooms. Mobile phone reception is quite good.
- **Kitchen:** The kitchen has 2 dishwashers, 2 sinks, a large AGA, a 5 ring electric hob and a double eye level oven. All pots, pans and utensils are provided.
- **Dining Room:** Up to 24 guests can sit together in our conservatory with beautiful views of the grounds and its abundance of wildlife, including deer, red squirrels.
- **Sitting Room:** There are 3 separate sitting areas and a cinema room. One room has an open fire. Two of the rooms have large TVs. There is plenty of seating.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** There are TVs in all rooms and all have SAT TV. There is also a 120 inch cinema screen and various wireless speakers. Karaoke on 120 inch screen.
- **Games Room:** Along with the heated indoor pool, there is an undercover games area, a fishing pond, tennis court and large trampoline. All equipment is provided.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** The house is centrally heated and the one lounge has an open fire - with wood provided free of charge.
- **Bedrooms:** 12 bedrooms, 11 of them en suite. 4 family suites (double/king + single(s) or bunks), 3 s/king (1 zip link), 2 king, 1 double, 1 bunks, 1 single.
- **Linen:** All linen and towels will be provided at no extra cost. This includes separate towels to be used in the pool.
- **Bathrooms:** There are 12 bathrooms with a mixture of baths, showers over baths and walk-in showers. 11 are en suite. We also have two toilet blocks.
- **Children's Facilities:** Children's heaven - swimming pool, table tennis, games consoles, cinema, fishing, pool, table football, treasure hunt, table football and lots more!
- **Outdoor:** Two gas BBQs, numerous garden benches and tables. Beautiful grounds to explore. NB fireworks are not allowed to be used at Polmaily House.
- **Swimming Pool:** 30 by 15 feet 1m deep heated swimming pool with inflatables and loungers - perfect for a fun afternoon or an early morning swim. Open 9am - 10pm.
- **Parking:** Plenty of free parking on site.
- **Smoking:** No smoking indoors.
