This lovely holiday house sits next to Mylor Harbour at the mouth of Mylor Creek with amazing views over the Carrick Roads estuary and beyond. Pondhu works well for multi generational families, friends, keen sailors and watersports enthusiasts - bring everyone to Cornwall for a memorable holiday or celebration. With underfloor heating and a wood burner, Pondhu is a good choice at any time of year. One dog is also welcome.
The main lounge is upstairs to make the most of spectacular views over the harbour, with large windows to bring the outside in. The glass balcony has outside lounge seating - a perfect space for everyone to relax and make plans for the next day. There is a second ground floor sitting room, again with comfy sofas and a TV, an alternative for a quiet read. The kitchen diner is a wonderfully sociable space where everyone can cook together using top notch appliances and then sit down together for supper.
4 of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, providing flexible options for a mixed group, with the choice of 2 kings, a twin and a quad. The downstairs quad room is popular with the youngsters wanting their own den. The upstairs master bedroom is a quiet haven, with full en suite facilities and a dressing room along a galleried landing. 3 en suites, a downstairs cloakroom and a shared family bathroom are ample for 12 guests.
Mylor Creek is an idyllic spot, equally regarded for its inlets and creeks as for its sub-tropical gardens - plenty to explore from the house. For watersports, Mylor Harbour is the place for equipment hire and access to a public slipway. There are eateries nearby too - choose from Castaways Restaurant, Cafe Mylor and The Yacht Club. To pick up supplies head a little further afield into Falmouth, where there is a range of restaurants, pubs and interesting little shops and chandleries.
