Seaside holiday house sleeping 11, ideal for family get togethers and special occasion weekends, near Padstow

Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends.
Porthcothan House, Porthcothan Bay, Nr Padstow, Cornwall, sleeps 6-11 in 6 bedrooms.

Porthcothan House is an enchanting Georgian farmhouse by the sea in North Cornwall, 600m from Porthcothan beach, 2 miles from Trevose and 5 from Padstow. Well equipped, tastefully furnished, easy to get to and with Michelin star restaurants and an awesome choice of things to do and see, it is a fantastic location for family holidays, reunions, short breaks and special occasions.

Beautifully restored and modernised, the house is spacious, light and full of character. It sleeps 11 and has 5 double bedrooms, 1 single and 5 bathrooms. All doubles face west and have wonderful views of the bay and adjacent valley and the unforgettable sound of waves lapping the beach at high tide.

As you enter the front hall the house is revealed as full of character with light spacious rooms, new Exmoor oak floors, wonderful views and attractive features everywhere. The drawing room on your right has sofas and chairs for all the party and a wood burner for extra warmth and sparkle in winter; the sitting room on your left sofas, bean bags and another wood burner. A 42" plasma HD TV with Sky, Blu-Ray/DVD player and award winning surround sound system here provide 1st class entertainment.

The combination of these 3 rooms means that there is plenty of space for the whole party to gather and yet for some to get away for peace and quiet.

Numerous touches of luxury help make your stay relaxing. None more so than our Savoir beds which include the iconic Savoir No2 commissioned for the Savoy Hotel in London, favoured by Churchill and Charlie Chaplin. Bed linen is in Egyptian cotton and duvets and pillows are NOMITE certified. Each room also has original paintings and fresh flowers.

The kitchen with Aga and separate module and Delabole slate floor is equipped to professional standards and opens to the dining room with a handmade oak refectory table and floor to ceiling windows that make the most of the views.

Family friendly golden sands of Porthcothan beach, the other '7 Bays for 7 Days', spectacular clifftop walks, golf and tennis at Trevose, cycling the Camel Trail, foodie paradise in Padstow and so much to do and see make this a perfect home in a fantastic location.
