Priestcliffe House is a glamorous self-catering venue ideal for a corporate getaway, informal meetings and team building sessions.

The spacious kitchen/dinner with large dining table is perfect for board style meetings. The bright, elegant lounge with stunning views over the open countryside and the cosy games room in the cellar provide welcome break out spaces.

There are a total of 9 stylish boutique en suite bedrooms accommodating 9 delegates in sole occupancy or 17 in shared rooms (8 bedrooms can be double or twin and 1 bedroom is a fixed double).

There is an abundance of outdoor space at this property; the large lawned area is ideal for on-site team building, and we have a range of contacts which can come in and provide unique team building activities for your team.

The patio and sunken terrace with outdoor furniture and a barbecue are great spots to relax, unwind and soak up the amazing views after an activity or meeting filled day. Alternatively after a day of meetings your team will equally enjoy relaxing in the hidden games room complete with multi games table and retro electronic games.

With plenty of outdoor pursuits (walking, cycling, climbing, orienteering, abseiling) nearby, the property is great for businesses that want to come to the Peak District to be adventurous!

Although the venue is nestled in a pretty hamlet slap bang in the middle of the Peak District, it still has excellent communication links. Buxton and Chesterfield train stations (direct trains from London) are a 14 minute and 35 minute drive away and Manchester and East Midlands airports are both approx. 1 hour drive away.


Large stylish kitchen fully equipped with everything you would need to cater for a large group, including a double oven and further single oven.
Open plan kitchen/dining area with one large dining table with benches, perfect for 20 guests, but also able to accommodate groups of up to 24 guests.
Large traditional style living room with period features, plenty of soft seating and 2 bay windows with amazing views of the surrounding countryside.
Throughout the property there are a total of 5 smart TVs with free view and 3 iPod docking stations.

Games room in the cellar with a multi 6 ft games table with table tennis, air hockey and pool, a retro electronic games table and lounge area with TV.
There is central heating throughout property and a log burning stove in the sitting room. One complimentary basket of logs supplied upon arrival.
There a 9 en suite boutique bedrooms, which can be made up as double or twins; a couple of bedrooms also have bunk beds ideal for family groups.
Linen and towels included.
There 9 en suite bathrooms and also a ground floor WC.
Unfortunately the property is not suitable for disabled guests.
Child/family friendly accommodation - cots/high chairs available. Games room with multi 6 ft games table with table tennis, air hockey and pool.
There is a lovely landscaped south facing garden, a patio area to the front and a sunken terrace to the side with separate Petanque court.
There is no swimming pool, but the nearby towns of Buxton and Bakewell both have public swimming pools.
Private parking for up to 12 cars.
Strictly no smoking inside the house.
We welcome pets but only by prior arrangement.


Nestled in the pretty hamlet of Priestcliffe with stunning views over the Peak District, Priestcliffe House is ideally situated to explore the towns of Bakewell and Buxton and Chatsworth House.
Both the towns of Buxton and Bakewell are 10 minute drive away. Buxton has greater amenities.
Nearest supermarket is in Buxton or there is a village shop in the nearby village of Ashford in the Water.
Nearest pub is The Queens Arms in Taddington or The Anglers Rest in Miller's Dale. The nearby towns of Bakewell and Buxton have a large variety of restaurants, cafes and bars.

Buxton train station is 7 miles away and has direct trains from Manchester. Macclesfield and Chesterfield stations are 17.5 miles and 19 miles away and both have direct trains from London.
The Transpeak (Manchester to Derby) bus route stops along the A6 near the turning for Priestcliffe or you can catch the bus in the nearby village of Taddington.
