## About The Property

Relais Castelcicala can accommodate 12/16 people in six suites. Two suites have 2 extra single beds. Others have sofa beds in lounges. Maximum for exclusive hire is 16/18. Available for self-catering or Bed and Breakfast.

This 18th century fortified holiday farmhouse near Naples is set within a 7-hectare estate and a great choice for friends and family groups who want to immerse themselves in Italian history and architecture while enjoying the luxury of modern facilities. A magical destination to gather those you love for a holiday or a celebration, Castelcicala is perfect for exploring Campania and its very wide range of must see attractions. The Amalfi Coast, Naples, Pompeii, and Vesuvius are best accessed by the Circumvesuviana rail service.

The municipality of Nola, the philosopher Giordano Bruno's birth town, is just a 10 minute walk from the villa, well worth a visit, with the Orsini Palace and an array of independent shops, cafes, wineries and restaurants. Ask owner Gherardo about other interesting places to see nearby.

The villa itself, belonging to Gherardo's family for the past 300 years, is a lovely place to spend time and has pretty corners for everyone to sit and bask under the Neapolitan sun. Start the day with a continental breakfast at one of the courtyard seating spots or arched guest areas, sampling homegrown fresh produce and morning coffee. Relax on the terrace together and cool off in the pool after a busy day exploring before heading out for dinner in Nola at one of the recommended eateries. For those groups who opt for self-catering, there's a fully equipped kitchen for preparing meals as well as a formal dining area inside the house.

Two of the suites are on the ground floor of the main house and share a living room. The others are in converted farm buildings around the courtyard and all have their own entrance, luxury bedroom, private bathroom, and lounge with sofa bed or extra singles. The accommodation has recently been lovingly restored to create warm and welcoming retreats while retaining many architectural and design features. Rooms have a kettle and tea/coffee, independent heating and air conditioning. Private parking available.

## Facilities

- **Dog Friendly:** Pets are welcome (not more than 2). Please get in touch.
- **Accessibility:** One ground-floor bedroom. Please be aware we are in the countryside so the soil may not be ideal for wheelchairs.
- **WiFi:** WiFi is available throughout the rooms, the gardens, and by the swimming pool.
- **Kitchen:** Large and well-equipped kitchen available on request for self-catering purposes. Dishwasher and microwave available.
- **Dining Room:** Inside formal dining tables for 14/18. Outside seating for al fresco meals.
- **Sitting Room:** There is a shared lounge in the main living room with an open fire. Each outside suite also has its own sitting room.
- **Games Room:** There is no specific games room but children's games and books are available.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** Independent heating for each room, and an open fire in the shared villa lounge.
- **Bedrooms:** 5 suites with king-size bed and sofa bed in the living room (2 suites have 2 extra single beds), 1 queen bedroom. All en suite bathrooms.
- **Linen:** High-quality bed linen and bathroom towels are provided. Full change is provided every week, and towel change is on request.
- **Bathrooms:** Each of the suites and the queen room has a modern bathroom with a bathtub and or shower. Courtesy set provided.
- **Children's Facilities:** High chairs and travel cots are available by prior request.
- **Outdoor:** Swimming pool and sun-lounger terrace. Various seating areas in the gardens. The property fields are available to be explored. Barbecue available.
- **Swimming Pool:** There is a swimming pool with loungers on a sun terrace set in shaded mature gardens. Easy also for sunbathing. Swimming pool towels available.
- **Parking:** Ample off-road secure private parking up to 6 cars available for free.
- **Smoking:** All indoor rooms are no smoking.
- **Everyone Can Dine Together:** Dinner is available on request for a minimum of 10, cooked by the owner.
