Formerly a dairy farm, the buildings have been tastefully restored to provide spacious accommodation for groups wishing to take advantage of a host of outdoor activities in the local area - or you can just relax and enjoy time together.
The Barn, with its large atmospheric wood burning stove, has a well equipped kitchen and plenty of room to sit, eat meals and socialise together. Four electric showers ensure that hot water is always available when you return from your day of exploration and activity.
If you plan to bring cycles or boats, there is secure storage space together with plenty of parking. A BBQ area and outdoor seating make it a pleasure to cook and eat in the sunshine.
Ringcladdy Cottage, adjacent to the Barn, is a convenient addition to the accommodation for larger groups. It too has a well equipped kitchen and all of the facilities you would expect in a four star cottage.
Ringcladdy Farm is located on a quiet country road but within walking or cycling distance of Clearsky Outdoor Pursuits Centre, Castle Ward National Trust property, Strangford Lough for fishing, rowing or sailing activities and Kilclief beach. A car ferry from Strangford village will take you to Exploris Aquarium and other attractions on the Ards Peninsula including the beautiful Mount Stewart gardens. If you have an interest in movie locations you can visit local sites where productions e.g. Game of Thrones and Dracula Untold, were filmed.
You might want to take the Mourne Coastal route to the Mourne Mountains and popular holiday destination of Newcastle, or visit vibrant Belfast, less than an hour's drive away.
