Indoors there's more than enough space to sleep 26, with a couple of cots for the little ones, and you all get your own bathroom of course. 10 of the bedrooms have glorious views of the River Wye. The ground floor houses a fully accessible en suite disabled twin room (equally helpful for the frail, or simply those who don't like stairs).
The large atmospheric lounge has a wood burner, satellite TV, DVD player and music system, while the dining room comfortably accommodates 26 round the table.
On site, there's plenty to keep everybody amused: a games room with table tennis, pool, table football and more; a hot tub to unwind after a day's walking, canoeing or cycling in the Forest of Dean; and well equipped playground; a barbecue area and plenty of outdoor seating where you can chill and watch the River Wye slowly wind its way to Symonds Yat. On the edge of the village of Lydbrook the nearby facilities are superb: 5 minutes walk will take you to a wonderful country pub, an organic restaurant, an Indian restaurant , a canoe launch opposite the Lodge, and the Wye Valley Way for fantastic walking.
5 minutes drive will take you into the heart of the Forest of Dean with its staggering array of activities for people of every age and interest. If that's not enough, you're only 10 minutes drive from Symonds Yat, Ross on Wye, Coleford and Monmouth with numerous award winning options for dining out.
