Rose's Bower, Corbridge, Hexham, Northumberland, sleeps 4-20 in 10 bedrooms.
Sleeps 4 to 20 in 3 converted barns:
Drum Barn sleeps 8 with dining for 20
Hayloft sleeps 8
Old Woodworker's Cottage sleeps 4
Rose's Bower is a former farm a few miles north of Hadrian's Wall in the Tyne Valley of Northumberland. These 3 barns, converted to the highest standards in 2017, combine old beams and farmhouse character with modern facilities like underfloor heating, smart TVs, environmentally-friendly biomass heating and fast WiFi.
The largest property is The Drum Barn. This 4 bedroom 4 en suite former haybarn has a large kitchen and enormous living room with seating for 20 at the bespoke refectory table, ideal for all guests to share food and celebrate. Once used to store the owner's drums, it has old beams, high ceilings, modern lighting, a wood-fired hot tub and stunning views south over Hadrian's Wall and north to the Cheviot Hills.
A few steps away is The Hayloft, with 3 full size bedrooms and the 'hayloft' itself (with reduced height). It has underfloor heating and oozes rural charm (it has been described as 'a beauty of a barn'). Its 2 shower rooms are complemented by the outside wood-fired hot tub and private garden.
The Old Woodworker's Cottage is right next door, a 2 bedroom 2 en suite cottage with oak staircase, underfloor heating, and endless views south. Sleeping 4, its cute and sheltered private terrace garden with eating area allows you to get away from it all, or to join the fun with the others a few steps away.
Outside, there is a 1 acre paddock and 5 acre bluebell wood, whose paths through the long grass are perfect for walking the dogs which are welcome in all 3 cottages.
Rose's Bower is just half a mile from the A68, 8 minutes from Corbridge, 15 from Hexham, 23 from Newcastle International Airport and half an hour from Newcastle train station. Local attractions include the forts and visitor attractions of Hadrian's Wall, Durham Cathedral, The Angel of the North, and Northumberland's sandy beaches 25 miles away.
Kick back and relax in this luxury, peaceful setting, with huge skies, incredible stars and enough space for groups to be together when they want, and private when they need some solitude.
