This really is a gorgeous Grade 2 listed traditional holiday cottage near Sedbergh in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It makes a great choice for friends and 3 generation family groups to get together for a weekend away to celebrate a big occasion or for a holiday exploring a very special part of Yorkshire.

The cottage is picture postcard pretty from the outside and filled with stunning original features inside. Classic beams and fabulous stonework along with wood burning stoves are the hallmark of an idyllic stay with loved ones. The well equipped kitchen and adjacent diner is a great space to cook and eat together cosying up to the warming wood stove. The lounge is on the first floor, a comfortable room with leather sofas for all guests, large TV and a second wood burner.

The mature gardens and patio with seating is a lovely place to sit and enjoy a cup of tea at the end of a busy day. The bike storage is an added bonus for cyclists keen to make the most of local trails.

Scalegill Foot benefits from 3 charming upstairs and 2 downstairs bedrooms, handy for multi generational gatherings. The combination of a king, doubles and a twin along with pull outs for extra visitors means that there are plenty of options for everyone. Contemporary bathroom facilities are spread across both floors.

Scalegill Foot is located on the outskirts of Cowgill and is a fantastic base from which to explore the area. The Dentdale countryside is very popular with hikers and cyclists due to its proximity to the Dales Way. The Sportsman's Inn is within walking distance so why not stop off for a pint before supper. Dent is known for having the highest railway station in the UK, and one of the most remote breweries, and is a delightful village just to wander around with lovely cobbled streets and welcoming independent cafes. Catch the Carlisle to Settle Railway and be awed by Arten Gill, Dent Head and the famous Ribblehead Viaduct.
