Scardroy Alford is a newly refurbished bungalow on a large peaceful 5 acre site near Alford, Aberdeenshire. The house is perfect for celebrations, which we can arrange with you, and suitable for all ages. We also generally welcome dogs and the garden is safe and contained. Scardroy Alford is perfect for a large or small group and is available all year round. The living spaces within the bungalow are very sociable and there is also an outside barbecue house and hot tub (available at an extra cost) and gazebo for outside dining.
There are 7 bedrooms ranging from a single to a family room, and the master bedroom has a large 4 poster bed and a luxury en suite bathroom with Jacuzzi. The bedrooms are together in one wing, along with 2 brand new shower rooms with power showers (1 large disabled shower).
The living area is spacious. There is a large kitchen/dining area with dishwasher, gas hob, electric oven/grill and microwave, and a separate utility room with lots of cupboard space, washing machine, water filter dispenser and tumble drier. The stunning dining room has solid Asian furniture, including a Balinese gong that can be rung to call your group together for dinner, a chandelier and a large granite table that seats 12 with ease (although extras could be accommodated at the corners for larger groups).
The conservatory hosts two separate living areas - one where dogs are welcome and a more adult section with a rattan bar and bar stools, along with comfy sofas, TV/DVD. The living wing of the property is served by a spacious pine panelled guest toilet at the front door. The garden area is accessible from these conservatory rooms and the back door, where there is another shower room.
Scardroy Alford enjoys a peaceful setting in the village of Alford, where Aberdeen Angus beef originates from, with lots of attractions providing entertainment for all the family. These include a golf course, skate park, swimming pool, rock wall and a country park with many lovely walks to explore. There's also a wide choice of eateries and shops.
