This has to be the perfect family seaside holiday house for a 3 generation family or friends to enjoy a break away, reunion or to celebrate a special occasion. Seabank couldn't get any closer to the beach, with direct access ideal for family days out with minimum effort and the added convenience of using the house facilities. Selsey is a fantastic West Sussex seaside town with the cleanest waters and it's also a great diving destination, along with opportunities for spotting the local seal population.
This quirky house is built around two beautifully restored 19th century railway carriages, twin sisters of the carriages pulled by Thomas the Tank Engine, creating a fascinating living space making the most of original features and railway design. There's a fully equipped kitchen diner with a sociable table for 8 guests, and an idyllic enclosed verandah where your group can relax and enjoy amazing uninterrupted sea views over a glass of wine. On a warmer evening, set to work on the barbecue and eat al fresco on the beach garden deck. Seabank works all year round offering a wood burning stove on the enclosed verandah for chillier evenings. Perfect after long winter dog walks along the coastal path and a stop off at a local Selsey pub or cafe. The lounge is a lovely cosy room with TV and comfy sofas.
2 of the 4 bedrooms are doubles and the others have bunks, ready made for 2 families with young children. This highly recommended coastal holiday house near Chichester has stylish accommodation with marine blue cool soft furnishings. There is a shared family bathroom with shower but no bath.
You don't have to go far to find something to do either. Watch the comings and goings of the lifeboat or pop into Pagham RSPB Nature Reserve and explore the wetlands and bird life. Bognor Regis and Worthing have fabulous beaches and the Roman town of Chichester is a seaside gem, with a Gothic cathedral and amphitheatre.
