It is ideally suited for groups of adults looking for a quiet getaway for a retreat, education, team building, wellbeing opportunities or other activities. You might also enjoy it for relaxed family gatherings or as a base for walking in the local area. A small community lives on site, always available in the background if you need us, but staying out of your way if you don't. The setting is a characterful traditional farmyard cluster around a thatched courtyard. Rooms are light and airy with modern services as everything is either new build or fully refurbished in the last 10  years or so. Large terraces make the most of the views across the valley. Sheldon is set within its own fields and woodlands and opens onto lots of local footpaths and quiet country lanes. Sheldon's 2 main buildings can be booked separately or together: The Long Barn (8 twin/doubles, 1 single, sleeps 9-17,  large communal sitting room, sunny terrace). Use the Long Barn kitchen and dining room for groups up to 25 The Pound House (5 twin and 1 small single, sleeps 6 - 11, 2 sitting rooms, sunny terrace). Use the Pound House kitchen and dining room for groups 25 - 34 using both buildings, or for small groups using Pound House only The 3 Pig Pens are individual units you can use to add extra beds, with ground floor wheelchair accessible bedrooms for disabled members, or as leader rooms. Each main building has its own kitchen, dining room and meeting room(s). Kitchens are well designed for self-catering. Total 34 beds in 18 rooms with en suite wet rooms throughout.  The Teign Valley is extremely well placed, being just 10 miles from M5 and the main line railway at Exeter. Dartmoor, the coast and many tourist attractions are also within 10 miles.   ## Facilities - **Dog Friendly:** Registered assistance dogs are welcome. - **Accessibility:** Sheldon is wheelchair accessible including Pig Pens for ground floor bedrooms. Hearing loop. - **WiFi:** Free WiFi accessible all round the site. - **Dining Room:** There are two good size dining rooms: Pound House (seats 34) and Long Barn (seats 25). - **Sitting Room:** The Long Barn has a big meeting room with comfy sofas, terrace and great views. - **Kitchen:** The Long Barn and Pound House each have good quality kitchens for your group catering. - **Heating and Open Fires:** Good heating throughout the property. The Long Barn is underfloor heating and the Pound House has radiators. - **Parking:** Plenty of free parking on site. - **Electric Vehicle Charging:** Sheldon has an EV charge point. - **Bedrooms:** Bedrooms are almost all twin, and most can be re-arranged as doubles. 3 ground floor wheelchair accessible bedrooms. - **Bathrooms:** Every bedroom has an en suite wet room except 1 with bath and 1 with cubicle shower. - **Linen:** Bed linen and towels can be provided for a small extra cost. - **Outdoor:** Terraces, al fresco dining, playing field. Fields and woodlands and lots of local footpaths.
