Skipton Country Home, Skipton, Yorkshire Dales

Sleeps 6 - 17 6 Bedrooms 17 Dining

Country retreat sleeping 17 for getting together with friends, family or colleagues in the Yorkshire Dales

Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends. Skipton Country Home, Skipton, Yorkshire Dales, sleeps 6 - 17 in 6 bedrooms.

The house is tucked away in its own woodland providing a peaceful hideaway on a hilltop with beautiful views of the valley and over to the moors where Wuthering Heights was filmed.

With its welcoming and spacious interior and 6 lounges, Skipton Country Home is the ideal venue for retreats, family holidays, short breaks, celebrations and rural escapes. The specially created large gathering space is ideal for retreats, events, business gatherings, creative think-tanks and small wedding parties.

Originally a family home created from 3 buildings, the oldest of which is a 750 year old Peel House, there are now 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms for parties of up to 17.

A second full kitchen has been added with hob, oven, dishwasher and fridge freezer and breakfast table with seating for up to 6 people.

The house had a complete renovation in 2000 to create a calming and naturally decorated interior, with the minimum of chemicals and reduced disturbance from electro-magnetic fields (EMFs). The sensitive design and use of natural materials inspired a best-selling book called the Healthy Home and was featured by several TV programmes. The house is the ideal place to relax and reconnect with both nature and loved ones.

With the beautiful terraces and wildlife garden, the house is a destination in itself providing everything you need. It is also a perfect base for exploring the Dales which offer a wide range of activities and special places of interest like Malham Cove, Settle, Grassington and Haworth, the home of the Bronte Sisters. Skipton has its historic castle, award-winning market and famous canal. Access to the Pennine Way is nearby, with a fantastic network of footpaths a short stroll from the door. Great local pubs and restaurants offer a good choice of excellent food.
