In a stunning mountainous location, but also accessible with good transport links and facilities, the flexible accommodation at this holiday bunkhouse in the Brecon Beacons makes it suitable for a wide range of groups, from corporate team building to school field trips to activity based breaks in the Beacons for individuals and families.

Sleeping Giant Bunkhouse has lots of character, with exposed beams and arrow slits. There's a large dining room able to seat the whole group, and comfy sofas for after dinner socialising.

There is also a self-contained apartment adjoining the centre that sleeps up to 4 people and is suitable for small groups or for instructors/leaders.

On site there is also a glamping cabin with a double bed, wood burning stove and kitchen area. Shower facilities are shared with those using the camping field, also on site. The site has the Green Dragon Award for being environmentally friendly.

Only 30 minutes from the M4 but surrounded y the spectacular landscape which is the Brecon Beacons National Park, this area is one of world class caving. Other highlights include the National Showcaves of Wales, Dan-yr-Ogof, access to the River Tawe for kayakers, and the highest waterfall in the Brecon Beacons (you can also walk behind it). Riding stables and pony trekking are very close by. Craig-y-Nos Country Park and Castle is within walking distance.

There's so much to do in this special part of the country - Sleeping Giant Bunkhouse provides the perfect base for accessing these opportunities for a fantastic weekend away or longer holiday.

9 bedrooms, sleeping between 2 and 6 people per room in a mixture of bunk and single beds. Self-contained apartment that sleeps up to 4 people.

Only half an hour from the M4 but within the National Park. Walking distance of 2 great pubs. Area of world class adventure, the National Showcaves of Wales, Craig-y-Nos Castle and pony trekking.

  • Swansea - Brecon. X63 Bus stop at end of our road.
  • Neath or Swansea (30 mins).
  • Ysradgynlais (10 min drive) - banks, petrol, supermarket restaurants. Brecon (25 min drive), Swansea (30 min drive).
  • Spar, Ynyswen (2 min drive), Tesco (7 min).
  • Pen-y-Cae Inn (gastro pub of the year) 7 min walk, great food and wine. Ancient Briton, (Welsh CAMRA pub of the year) 12 min walk, good pub food and a fantastic selection of real ales.
  • Cardiff (1 hr).
