Smithy's Bunkhouse sleeping up to 24 is located right in the heart of the Black Mountains with walks to Blorenge, Skirrid and Sugarloaf from the door. Perfect for all gatherings including friends, family reunions, youth groups and corporate team building, this rural setting on an eco farm is a playground for those who love the outdoors. Local hikes and bike rides are popular with many guests or others preferring more adrenaline fuelled activities such as off road go karts, war games and mountain bike trails. The owners can arrange packages for you or provide a list of local providers, whatever suits.

The Brecon Beacons are also within easy reach, just over 30 minutes away, with even more challenging peaks to tackle such as Pen Y Fan. Abergavenny is only a short drive and a lovely little town to wander round and pick up some locally produced food. Brecon is also worth a look with independent shops, pubs and eateries to try as well as museums and galleries.

The bunkhouse is set on a farm which has undergone some recent eco-friendly changes including 15 acres of replanted woodland and a large well stocked fishing pond. Guests are encouraged to explore the wildlife and enjoy some tranquility in this most beautiful place. On warmer days, the picnic benches provide a great spot for chatting together over a cold beer while admiring the amazing views or, at night, gazing up at the world beating dark skies. If it's cooler, the common room has comfy chairs and a wood stove to sit by and the kitchen is well equipped to prepare meals for everyone. The Crown Inn is literally at the top of the track and serves good food and ales if you don't fancy cooking.

Sleeping accommodation is basic but comfortable. The 2 dorms are heated during the winter and have shower facilities and WCs.
