## About The Property

Smugglers Cove, part of Smugglers Cove Boatyard, is a renovated Old Chapel (Chapel House) and adjacent 2-storey cottage (Quarry Cottage), rented out as a single holiday let for family and friends reunions, group get-togethers and holidays. With unique access to our own coastal foreshore/slate beach and slipway.

The properties accommodate 14 plus 2 (using sofa beds) in 2 adjacent buildings:

Chapel House sleeps 10 and is the spacious main building with 1 king (with 4 poster bed), 2 doubles, 1 twin and 1 double bunk bedroom, 3 of which are on the ground floor. The dining area can seat 16 around a single table and has a lounge area with sofas and wood burning stove. The kitchen has a large 5-ring gas range cooker with double oven/grill. Outside is a large outdoor area and patio with outdoor seats and tables and BBQ.

Quarry Cottage, a separate but adjacent building, sleeps 4 with a double upstairs and a twin on the ground floor with direct exterior access. It has a small kitchen, lounge and dining area seating 4, soft seating and stove, gas hob and oven. A large shower room/toilet on the ground floor, and to the rear a secluded courtyard with outdoor seating.

Located very near to Aberdyfi, the location is ideal for easy access to the numerous activities, attractions and beautiful surroundings of Snowdonia National Park, north and mid Wales. 

Also available to book separately are 3 amazing estuary side camping pitches, and 2 glamping boats situated on the foreshore which can accommodate 4 (more with prior arrangement):

The Boy John – a converted beached boat that offers either an indoors communal area for campers or quirky glamping accommodation for couples & families… with an outstanding location right next to the Dyfi estuary.

Hannah – our newest glamping boat, a gorgeous, intimate, sympathetically repurposed wooden dream on the water’s edge.

Boatyard – a small sustainable resource with slipway, winter storage and lifting, repair services.

So for those wishing to sleep under canvas/on a boat in a Dark Sky Reserve, waking up with views towards Ynyshir RSPB Reserve, the National Nature Reserve of Borth Bog or Ynyslas protected sand dunes, these are perfect additional options!

## Facilities

- **Dog Friendly:** Yes, welcome with prior agreement, with conditions, and one off £25 charge per pet. Enclosed outdoor area. Miles of beach walks nearby in Aberdyfi.
- **Accessibility:** 2 Ground floor bedrooms have direct access to outside as does Chapel House. Ground Floor toilets/showers. please contact for more information.
- **WiFi:** There is usually mobile phone reception on most networks. Free WiFi in Chapel House and 4g Data hub in Quarry Cottage.
- **Kitchen:** Both properties have well equipped kitchens. Chapel House can cater for whole party. American style fridge freezer, 5 ring range cooker + double oven
- **Dining Room:** There are 2 dining areas with Chapel House dining area accommodating 16 around a large table, and a cosy kitchen diner in Quarry Cottage.
- **Sitting Room:** Each property has lounges with wood burning stoves and a TV.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** Yes, each property has a TV, DVD and Chapel House has a sound bar.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** There is full central heating throughout, solar hot water and a log burning stove in each building.
- **Bedrooms:** Chapel House: 3 double bedrooms (1 king size 4-poster bed), 1 twin bedroom and 1 double bunk bedroom. Quarry Cottage: 1 double and 1 twin bedroom.
- **Linen:** All bed linen provided. If required, bedlinen for double sofa beds is left out if requested.
- **Bathrooms:** Three shower rooms and one bathroom with shower over bath. 2 separate WCs.
- **Children's Facilities:** Children welcome. Plenty of outdoor space, beach at low tide, supervision at foreshore is essential as estuary has strong tidal currents.
- **Outdoor:** Secluded recreation area and Mediterranean courtyard; Barbeque areas; foreshore and beach area on the estuary; slipway; launching and boat moorings.
- **Parking:** Ample.
- **Smoking:** No but lots of outside space.
- **Electric Vehicle Charging:** Charging for 2 EVs.
- **Everyone Can Dine Together:** Chapel House dining table can seat 16, the whole party, open plan with the kitchen and living area.
- **Sauna:** In off peak months (October - May), there is a horse box sauna available to book at the foreshore.
