Somersal Cottages consist of an large impressive Farmhouse and 4 converted barns. Expansive lawns surround the properties and there is access to the 150 acres of our farm to go for a walk. The cottages have a total of 32 bedrooms, the smallest has 4 bedrooms, the largest 8, and they can be rented in any combination as they are all adjacent, some with internal links. This means we can offer accommodation from 4 and up to 52 if delegates don’t mind sharing rooms (not sharing beds!).
Previous guests tell us that this location for meetings and team building is perfect and they report better results when staying in this quiet setting than when in busy hotels. We are already used by several well known companies, who come back year after year.
The location is in easy reach of the A50 which connects the M1 to the M6 so is accessible from all areas of the country. East Midlands and Birmingham airports are only 30 and 45 minutes away.
All properties have flat screen TVs suitable for connections to laptops for presentations and we have flipcharts and a screen. The Forge has a large open plan ground floor which can seat up to 32 people for dining. For larger groups a marquee can be added to connect onto the Forge.
Catering can be as little or as much as is required, from full catering throughout the day or just a working lunch, or if self catering is preferred you will find our kitchens facilities spacious and easy to use. We offer a shopping service if required. We’re not licensed so you can provide your own alcohol.

Each property has seating for the number of delegates and additional breakout areas. There are extensive outdoor areas for team building activities and we can arrange these for you if required.
