Your wedding is one of the most important occasions of your life so why not extend the celebrations from one day to a whole weekend?
The central location at the end of a “no through road” on the edge of a picturesque Derbyshire village offers the perfect weekend wedding venue easily accessible from all areas of the country.
For the larger marquee wedding you have total privacy and the exclusive use of the whole site. For the smaller wedding we can seat up to 32 or buffet style for 45 and it isn’t necessary to reserve all of the cottages.
The picturesque church is just a short walk away and this is where most of the Somersal weddings take place, with guests then wandering back to the cottages to enjoy reception drinks on the lawn, weather permitting, before proceeding to the marquee to continue the celebrations. The marquee is then available for use for a late brunch or barbecue lunch the following day.
The marquee site is very large so there is plenty of room for a large wedding marquee of your choice. The site also has a power and water supply.
Our in-house catering services offer a variety of different options and we are always happy to work with you to produce the perfect menu for your special day. We are happy to cater for up to 180.
We have contacts with all of the various services you will require and in most cases you also have the option of using your own contacts if preferred.
We do not charge corkage so you are able to provide your own drinks, we can even arrange the staff to run your bar area if required.
