This gorgeous country holiday house near Dorchester is a real find and absolutely spot on for all kinds of groups including friends, families, and business events.

Set in 100 acres of farmland, woods and beautiful formal gardens, the grand approach and private drive is a preamble of what is to come. The entrance hallway is impressive, leading to 4 reception rooms which make this house a great choice for multi generational families who require space and privacy. Everyone can sit down to eat together in the wood paneled dining room and then relax afterwards in one of two sitting rooms. The party room just off the kitchen is popular for celebrations and special occasions with enough seating for up to 40.

The fenced heated pool is a big crowd pleaser, with an attractive sun terrace, and where the youngsters especially will have hours of fun. The games room is another great extra and somewhere for everyone to take part in a ping pong or snooker competition after supper. And of course there is the all weather tennis court.

The busy market town of Dorchester is close by and definitely worth a look, full of Roman history and riverside walks as well as being a central location to so many of Thomas Hardy's novels. It's also a lively little place to wander around the shops and enjoy a cup of coffee or a bite to eat. Poole and Weymouth can be reached in under 30 minutes if you fancy a day on the beach or a walk around the natural harbour on the coastal path. the closest beach is charming Ringstead Bay. There are also a number of golf courses nearby.
