Tenby is a hugely popular Pembrokeshire holiday destination and a holiday or weekend break at St Catherine's House definitely won't disappoint, with private beach access and the best views. This Georgian townhouse provides a pleasing blend of exquisite period features and modern facilities close to the town centre where there are excellent amenities. This sought after location is just right for an extended family holiday or somewhere to meet up with friends for a milestone anniversary.

The terrace was listed in 1951, amended in 2008, at the higher level of Grade II*, awarded by Cadw to particularly important buildings of more than special interest, making up about 7% of the total of listed buildings in Wales.

The picture windows of the spacious lounge look out over St Catherine's Island and Castle Beach, and this is a lovely light and airy room to relax in at any time of day or night. When the weather allows, gather on the patio outside for a barbecue or sunset drinks and watch the world go by. The long kitchen diner table seats up to 16 guests, perfect for celebrating a special birthday or other event over dinner, or simply enjoying a leisurely catch-up with friends.

The youngsters can head to the games room after supper for a game of ping pong, a space to call their own using the separate access from the front of the house.

Bedrooms are ideal for a mixed age range, a combination of twins, a super king and doubles. Gorgeous rooms, all individually decorated and with more spectacular sea views. The lower ground floor twin is a tucked away private space, great for children or grandparents who may enjoy the extra privacy. Bathrooms are plentiful and the roll top bath in the master suite is a top spot for a luxurious soak.

Castle Beach has blue flag status, split in two when the tide is out by St Catherine's Island and old fort. It's the smallest of the Tenby beaches but with private access guaranteed to be a hit. Family attractions nearby include Heatherton World of Activities, Manor Wildlife Park and Folly Farm, and pretty towns including nearby gems Saundersfoot and Narberth.
