With generous living spaces, extensive gardens and wonderful views, it is an ideal setting for extended family gatherings, celebrations with friends, walking holidays, retreats and well-organised hen or stag weekends. Surrounded by gardens, streams and open countryside, the Hall offers plenty of room for everyone to spend time together while still enjoying their own space. The private grounds include ponds, peaceful seating areas and far-reaching countryside views. A short walk across the fields leads to the traffic-free trail around Carsington Water, making the house an excellent base for walkers and cyclists. There is outdoor dining for all 20 guests, together with a charcoal barbecue and fire pit. Guests can also enjoy an outdoor games room with table tennis and access to the estate tennis court, which is shared with the nearby cottages. A log-fired hot tub can be added to your stay for an additional charge. At the heart of the house is a large country kitchen designed for sociable cooking and relaxed gatherings. Large windows overlook the gardens, while the central island provides plenty of space for preparing meals, serving buffets or enjoying coffee together. The kitchen and adjoining utility room are fully equipped for self-catering. The formal dining room seats all 20 guests, making group meals and celebrations easy to enjoy. There is also an elegant drawing room and a separate television room, both with log burners, as well as a dedicated games room with a pool table. The house has 10 comfortable bedrooms and eight bathrooms arranged across the upper floors. Many of the bedrooms have zip-link beds, allowing the layout to be adapted for families, couples or groups of friends. A local country pub can be reached on foot across the fields, while the nearby market town of Wirksworth has independent cafés, shops and plenty of character. Carsington Water, Matlock, the Heights of Abraham and many of the Peak District’s best-known walking and cycling routes are all within easy reach. ## Facilities - **Accessibility:** This house is set over 3 floors and guests will need to be able to manage the stairs. - **Hot Tub:** A wood fired hot tub can be added to your booking. - **WiFi:** Free WiFi throughout the property. Mobile reception depends upon your network but, as a minimum, all networks work outside. - **Games Room:** In the house is a games room with a pool table; in the garden, there's another with a table tennis table. We also have a tennis court. - **Tennis Court:** Shared on-site tennis court. - **Kitchen:** Fully equipped kitchen including: oven, hob, dishwasher, washer and dryer, 2 fridges, freezer, wine fridge, microwave, coffee machine, toaster. - **Everyone Can Dine Together:** The dining room is set up to seat 20 people on two large tables. - **Sitting Room:** There are two sitting rooms: one with a TV and one with a piano. - **TV and Music Facilities:** There is one TV with Sky Satellite services. We've also included a sound bar that connects via Bluetooth. - **Heating and Open Fires:** The house has log burners, underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs. - **Bedrooms:** 5 bedrooms with fixed king-size beds, 4 bedrooms with zip-beds, and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. - **Bathrooms:** Ground floor - 2 cloakrooms. First floor - 1 en suite, 1 family bathroom, 1 shower room. Second floor - 2 shower rooms, 1 family bathroom. - **Linen:** We provide all bed linen and one bath sheet and one hand towel per person.
