Stanley's Rest has 2 bedrooms - one bedroom has 5 bunk-style cabin beds and the other has 4 single beds which can be joined together for couples (upon request). The inviting dining and lounge area in this bunkhouse has a TV, board games, large dining table to fit all guests and a fully equipped kitchen. Modern amenities include two toilets, two hot showers, underfloor heating, and free WiFi, and Stanley's Rest has its own private patio area with a BBQ and a private hot tub to soak away those tired feet after a long day walking. The lodge is set in the quaint hamlet of Upper Hulme at the foot of the spectacular Roaches in the Peak District National Park. The area boasts beautiful scenery and offers endless walking and climbing routes for you to explore, making it the perfect spot for outdoor enthusiasts. Plus, with local pubs and amenities just a stone's throw away, you’ll find everything you need for a memorable stay. Ye olde Rock Inn is a 5 minute walk and serves fabulous food and there are lots more local country pubs serving fantastic food along with the local market town of Leek which boasts lots of fabulous independent shops and markets and has an up and coming music scene with local artists playing in pubs. There are also many local activities including climbing, axe throwing, shereing, canoeing, paddle boarding, spas, brewery's, climbing wall, Pak Wildlife Park, Alton Towers, Tittesworth Water, Rudyard Lake, Pooles Cavern, Go Ape. Roaches Bunkhouse is historically a bunkhouse which is the reason we have kept the name and although the beds are still in a similar bunk style, it is so much more since being refurbished in 2025 with stunning décor and a lovely space for spending time with friends and family.  For larger groups of up to 34 there is an additional Lodge at Roaches Bunkhouse called Peak Lodge - please enquire. ## Facilities - **Dog Friendly:** No Dogs Allowed. - **Hot Tub:** Private outdoor hot tub on patio area. - **WiFi:** Free WiFi available. - **Sitting Room:** The sitting/dining area has sofas, a TV as well as access to board games. - **Dining Room:** Table seating 9. - **Kitchen:** Fully equipped for self catering groups. - **Outdoor:** Large patio with picnic bench and BBQ and hot tub. - **Heating and Open Fires:** Underfloor heating throughout. - **Bedrooms:** Stanley's Rest- 2 bedrooms sleeping 4 in one room and 5 in the other. Also beautiful Buxton, a Peak District spa town, is 10 miles north on the A53. - **Shop:** In the market town Leek where there is an Asda Local, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Aldi and Lidl as well as a selection of the usual town centre shops. - **Food and Drink:** Ye Olde Rock Inn pub - 150m.
