Star Field Glamping is a family run site with an array of glamping units to choose between to suit your group and budget.

The 2 safari tents are set in a truly beautiful setting, next to the SSSI woodland. Each tent is fully equipped for 5 people with two bedrooms, one featuring a double bed and the other a double bed with a bunk over, complete with linen. The kitchen area has a gas hob and solar-powered fridge along with all the necessary crockery and utensils required for a group of 5. Additionally, there is seating for relaxation. You will also have your own loo and shower facilities. Outside, a deck provides a perfect spot for a leisurely breakfast or lunch while enjoying the sounds of nature. A firepit is available for toasting marshmallows, preparing a delicious meal, or simply sitting around and admiring the dark skies.

Our 2 dressed 5 metre lotus bell tents are furnished with a dressed double bed to ensure a comfortable nights sleep and if required 2 futon beds, side tables, dressing table and chairs. Guests have access to a private compost loo, hot shower, firepit with bbq attachments, a kitchen with a camp stove. All dining, drinking and cooking essentials are provided for your convenience. A picnic table is also available for your use.

Thistle and Nettle are our 2 naked bell tents. They accommodate up to 4 people and are ideal for those who want a hassle-free get-away without the tent set up. They offer a double bed and 2 single futon beds, linen is not provided. You can bask in the morning and evening sun on the provided picnic benches and enjoy the fire pit provided.

We also have up to 15 grass pitches available, all spacious and set in our natural landscape which is on a slope.

Need a snack? Fear not! Our on-site farm shop has you covered with local goodies, sweet and savoury and a tipple or two! And if cooking is not your jam, our cafe The Trough is perfect for all day breakfasts, tempting lunches and homemade cakes. Just a breezy 20 minute stroll through a delightful footpath will take you to the historic town of Cranbrook with its delightful independent eateries and shops.

Nestled within our 6 acre campsite, this hidden gem awaits you.

Each unit has a fire bowl. Dressed bell tents and safari tents are provided with wood, kindling, and firelighters.

Bed linen is provided for safari tents and dressed bell tents.

Booking Information

Minimum of 2 night stay in Safari tents and Dressed bell tents.

Up to 2 dogs are welcome in Safari tents and Naked bell tents (no dogs in Dressed bell tents).

A 30% non refundable deposit is required on booking with the balance due 30 days before arrival.

If you cancel between 8-28 days before the arrival date, a 50% refund will be given. Any cancellation with 7 days or less notice will not be refunded. If you need to change the dates of your booking, you may do so up to 1 week before your arrival, to another date within the same season subject to availability. We are unable to alter booking dates with less than 1 week’s notice. Greener Camping Membership fees are non-refundable.

Group bookings will require one person to be the ‘group leader’, that person will be responsible for the rest of the group and any damage caused by the group must be paid for by the ‘group leader’. Whole site bookings include the grass pitches, this is reflected in the price.

Campfires are permitted but they must be contained in the fire rings provided for your safety and the safety of other campers. Logs and kindling must be purchased from the countrystore, we do not permit you to bring your own wood, or to collect firewood on site, please keep in mind that the sticks found around the site are homes to the wildlife around us.

Location

Near Cranbrook in Kent, in the High Weald National Landscape. Fabulous rural setting, and off grid too for total relaxation.

We are 1 hour from London, just a short hop from the M25 to the A21 then the A229.

Sissinghurst is on our doorstep as well as Leeds Castle, Scotney Castle, Great Dixter and Bodiam Castle. Bedgebury Pinetum and Forest is a few miles, ideal for cycling, dog walking and picnics. Bewl Resevoir is also close with water sports, and a great kids play park.

Staplehurst, about 5 miles away.
Historic Town of Cranbrook is a short walk away and the famous Sissinghurst as short drive or long walk
