## About The Property

The Star provides flexible accommodation for groups of up to 18 adults (or up to 28 guests in a family group with children) spread over three spacious cottages. The Star is situated in the quaint village of Taddington, a perfect location for exploring some of the best walking in the Peak District, the limestone way even passes through the village. The charming Spa town of Buxton and traditional market Bakewell are also both equidistant from the property.

The Star is unique in the way that it allows groups to socialise and dine all together in the main house (Star House) while also providing guests with separate living and dining spaces in Star Barn and Slaters cottage which is ideal for a extended family get together as it allows guests to have their own private space to relax and unwind in their very own country retreat.

The most striking feature of the property is its remarkable open plan kitchen/dining room; the unusual hexagonal shaped room really becomes the focal point of any gathering. The flexible dining arrangements (the table can seat up 16 guests set up as a square or up to 24 guests if the tables are separated using a mixture of chairs and benches) means that large groups can easily dine all together in a wonderful light and airy space.

There are nine bedrooms in total, five of these are in the main house and then there is a further two bedrooms in each of the cottages. To allow the greatest flexibility in sleep arrangements all bedrooms can be made up as a double or a twin and five of the bedrooms also have bunk beds, ideal for families. Seven of the bedrooms also have the luxury of their own en suite/private bathroom and there is a further family bathroom shared between the remaining two bedrooms.

The Star is ideally situated with many of the Peak Districts famous attractions such as Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall being only a 20 minute drive away.

- **Kitchen:** Three fully equipped and stocked kitchens with everything you would need to be able to cater for a large group.
- **Dining Room:** Hexagonal shaped dining room with flexible arrangements, dining tables can up seat up to 24 guests when separated using a mix of chairs and benches.
- **Sitting Room:** Several living areas throughout the cottages.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** There are 4 freeview TVs (2 with DVD players) located throughout Star House and a further TV with DVD player in each of the cottages.
- **Games Room:** Games room with a traditional bar billiards table and TV.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** Two log burners, one in Star House and a further log burner in Star Barn, one complimentary basket of logs supplied upon arrival.
- **Bedrooms:** There are 9 bedrooms in total spread across the three cottages, including 5 family bedrooms with bunk beds. Double or twins throughout.
- **Linen:** Linen and towels included.
- **Bathrooms:** 8 bathrooms in total, including 6 en suites, 1 private bathroom and a shared family bathroom.
- **Children's Facilities:** Child/family friendly accommodation - cots/high chairs available.
- **Outdoor:** Fabulous garden over different levels with 2 patio areas and a large drum style barbecue (please provide your own charcoal and lighting equipment).
- **Parking:** Private parking for up to 15 vehicles.
- **Smoking:** Please no smoking inside the house.
