We are a friendly, family run business and our holiday cottages near Bideford in Devon have been popular with visitors since the holiday lets started. We are open all year and our cottages are inspected annually by Visit England, achieving a rating of 3 and 4 stars.

The cottages are converted Victorian stone farm buildings and retain many original features including lovely beams and high ceilings. They are grouped around a gravelled courtyard, with extensive lawned areas and picnic benches in the shared gardens, with the grounds extending to around 6 acres. There's also a children's play area and trampoline, a paddock with rugby and football posts,  and a dog walk around a tree plantation. There is plenty of space is available for parking and locked undercover storage for bikes.

The old Sheep Dip has been transformed into an indoor heated swimming pool, located in the old roundhouse of the farm and available between April and October inclusive.

The picturesque and secluded location of Stowford Lodge gives the perfect base for a leisurely and peaceful country holiday with many coastal, woodland and moorland walks in the surrounding area. The Tarka Trail long distance footpath and cycle way passes nearby and the Royal Horticultural Society gardens at Rosemoor are less than 2 miles away. Dartmoor and Exmoor are close by, and the beautiful Devon beaches are within 30 minutes drive.

## Facilities

- **Dog Friendly:** Pets are welcome in the cottages. 2 in each max. £25/dog/week.
- **WiFi:** WiFi available, full mobile phone signal for Orange and T-Mobile.
- **Accessibility:** Warren Cottage and Halcyon Cottage are suitable for wheelchairs but are not specifically fitted for the disabled user.
- **Swimming Pool:** Indoor heated swimming pool, open 9am to 9pm between April and October inclusive. Slots for up to 6 at a time are bookable - 1 per cottage each day.
- **Dining Room:** Each cottage has its own dining room, catering for the numbers in each individual cottage.
- **Sitting Room:** Each cottage has its own sitting room, catering for the numbers in each individual cottage.
- **Kitchen:** Own kitchen, catering for the numbers in each individual cottage. No laundry room but we will do essential washing/drying on request.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** Each cottage is equipped with digital TV and a DVD player.
- **Games Room:** There is no games room on site.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** Cottages are heated by electric storage/convector heaters.
- **Bedrooms:** Bedrooms are a mixture of doubles, twins and single rooms.
- **Linen:** All beds are made up before arrival with linen and towels included in prices. Please bring your own swimming towels.
- **Bathrooms:** The cottages have 1 bathroom in each.
- **Children's Facilities:** There is a huge play area at Stowford Lodge as well as another level field suitable for football, rugby, running, kite flying and generally playing.
- **Outdoor:** Trampoline, swings, slide, climbing frames, and animals to pet. Outside table with each cottage, barbecues available. 6 acres to explore.
- **Parking:** All cottages have on site parking in abundance.
- **Smoking:** No smoking in the cottages, but outside is allowed.

## Booking Information

- 25% deposit to secure booking, balance due 4 weeks prior to stay. Payable by bank transfer or card. In July and August changeover is Saturday. Flexible at other times. Check in from 4pm, check out by 9.30 please. 2 night minimum stay.
