Hire our beautiful marquee with exclusvie use of our  venue set in 9 acres of grounds overlooking a small lake. Our traditional luxury marquee has  ivory silk linings, solid wooden flooring (black and white dance floor) and carpeted throughout, and with stunning chandelier lighting with dimmer switches. We even include a selection of garden games and a bouncy castle to amuse the children. Weddings available April to September. Option to add accommodation for up to 24 guests. Price includes: Bridal room Suffolk Retreats gives you the unique opportunity to have an exclusive venue, with complete control over what else you book and how much you spend. You are completely free to arrange your own caterers, food, drinks bar staff, flowers, DJ or band to make you day exactly as you want it to be. So what else is different? – Most venues request you use their own caterers. We do not – Most venue request that you buy drinks from them. We do not – Most venues ask the music to stop at 11pm. We do not. Why stop when the party has only just started? – Most venues only allow you access on the day – Book accommodation at  Suffolk Retreats  and you will be here overnight allowing plenty of time to get everything ready, without any panic – The choices of things you might like to book yourselves are endless. At previous events there have been fireworks, a bird of prey display, an air display overhead, giant slides, and a bride and groom arriving by helicopter. We are happy to work with you and your chosen suppliers to make your day truly both bespoke and unique. With the backdrop for the marquee being a 400 year old cottage, and set in the wonderful Suffolk countryside, the photo opportunities are endless too. Brochure available upon request. ## Additional Features - Marquee Facilities ## Facilities - **Dog Friendly:** Sorry no pets allowed. - **Accessibility:** All accommodation is easily accessed as all on the ground floor. There is a ramp to the rear which is suitable for wheelchair access too. - **Hot Tub:** Large 9 seater covered hot tub. Available at extra cost if required. - **WiFi:** WiFi available at no extra cost (though reception in Suffolk can be intermittent at times). - **Kitchen:** Fully equipped kitchen in The Granary, with Smeg oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle toaster, pots and pans. - **Dining Room:** Open plan dining area seats 10 at large formal dining table or 24 guests if having buffet style meal with further outdoor dining space for 24 guests. - **Sitting Room:** Our lounge area is open plan, with comfortable leather settees. The Granary has oak flooring throughout for a stylish, modern contemporary feel. - **TV and Music Facilities:** We offer TVis in each bedroom as well as the lounge. Lounge also has DVD player. Blue tooth speakers. There is also a large TV in the games area. - **Games Room:** Complimentary use of extensive games room, with air hockey, darts, football table, table tennis, board games. There is a pool table too small charge. - **Heating and Open Fires:** The Granary has full thermostatic central heating throughout. Each yurt has its own wood burner for both heating and cooking. All wood is provided. - **Bedrooms:** The Granary has 4 bedrooms: 1 twin, 1 double, 1 king, + 1 family room with 2 bunk beds and a double bed. Yurts sleep 2 - 5 in an open plan area. - **Linen:** Fresh bedding included in all accommodation. If booking Canadian hot tub, luxury white towels are also provided. Crockery, glasses & cutlery suppled. - **Bathrooms:** All bedrooms in The Granary have en suites with shower, toilet, hand basin. Master bedroom has whirlpool bath too. Luxury toilet block for yurt use. - **Children's Facilities:** Children will love our 4 miniature horses. Space to play outdoors too though children must remain supervised around the pond area at all times. - **Outdoor:** Play croquet on the lawn, rounders or giant chess. BBQs provided. Large pond (no fishing). Option to hire assault course, archery or bouncy castle. - **Parking:** There is unlimited free secure parking on site. Owners do however leave their vehicles at their own risk. - **Smoking:** There is a non-smoking policy throughout all of the properties. A great base from which to explore Suffolk on foot, by bicycle or by car. ### What's Nearby? - **Location:** 3 miles from the nearest town of Clare and within 30-40 minutes of the market town of Bury St. Edmunds, Newmarket Race Course, Sudbury, Cavendish, Long Melford, Cambridge, Long Melford and Haverhill. - **Shop:** Local village shop and post office a few minutes drive away. There is also extensive shopping in the nearby town of Haverhill, or visit Clare for quaint old pubs, tea shops and antique stores. - **Food and Drink:** The Plough Inn, pub with quality food at good prices is just a few minutes drive or 10-15mins walk away. There are also many fine restaurants in the nearby towns of Clare, Long Melford and Cavendish. - **Airport:** We are approximately 45 minutes drive from Stansted airport. - **Train:** Our nearest station is Audley End (30 mins by car). Cambridge main line is approximately 40 minutes by car.
