Sutton Court House and Holiday Cottages are located in the fantastic surroundings of the Shropshire Hills AONB, 10 minutes drive from the historic market town of Ludlow. Our 6 cottages have been beautifully restored from the original farm buildings, retaining many character features throughout and they are arranged around our courtyard overlooking our 16th century Tudor farmhouse.
Each cottage is completely self contained so perfect for individual holidays or family gatherings. Great communal spaces include a lounge area to sit together, outside seating in the courtyard and The Granary dining room which can be used to eat together. Strictly to be used by guests staying at the cottages of Sutton Court House only, thank you.
The cottages are nestled in the Corvedale, a valley of rolling fields and woods dotted with beautiful villages and historic half timbered houses, bordered on one side by the famous limestone escarpment of Wenlock Edge, and rising on the other to the dramatic peaks of the Clee Hills, where you can experience some of the most breath taking views in the country. It is a tranquil landscape that is perfect for walking and cycling, although there are plenty of sights and activities nearby if you want to liven things up, including golf, gliding, mountain biking, horse riding, and paragliding.
There are many historic buildings and beautiful towns to visit in the surrounding area, including Stokesay Castle, the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre, Much Wenlock, Church Stretton and the Carding Mill Valley, Acton Scott Victorian Farm, Shrewsbury and the various attractions of the World Heritage site at Ironbridge Gorge. Ludlow itself is one of England's finest market towns with a richly deserved reputation for its food and drink.
With no fixed start date and stays from 2 nights, our cottages are perfect for short breaks or longer holidays at any time of the year.
