## About The Property

Talton House and Lodge is a family run business, weddings and group events are our speciality.

You can have the exclusive use of two unique areas; the two giant tipis in a fantastic festival like space and the large reception room and lawns of Talton House a Grade II listed Queen Anne country home.

We offer venue, fresh seasonal food, a pay bar or BYO (in full or part), accommodation and, most importantly, individual attention without the formality and expense of a hotel.

The linked tipis in the Victorian Kitchen Garden can seat up to 115 people leaving room for a DJ or band. If you want extra guests for the evening (unseated) then the maximum is 135.

Food is one of the things we are most proud of at Talton, and we’re often told ‘this is the best food we’ve ever had at a wedding’. Not because we try to produce a fine dining experience, but because we use good local ingredients, serve them as fresh as possible and have tasty menus all lovingly prepared by our ex-London Chef and Owner, Olivia.

With the House and the Lodge we can accommodate up to 50, with additional room for campers if required and plenty of on-site parking. The House offers elegant bedrooms and the comfort of being indoors, along with the 18th Century Barn, whilst the Lodge provides the cozy accommodation in Yurts, a Tree-boathouse, Orchard Wagon, and Tipi.

## Facilities

- **Dog Friendly:** No dogs please due to 2 resident dogs, chickens, sheep, pigs. Lovely in-home dog sitting available nearby.
- **Accessibility:** Disabled loo and shower in pavilion. Talton House is accessible via paved ramp and there is an accessible bedroom and bathroom downstairs.
- **WiFi:** Wireless broadband in the Barn.
- **Kitchen:** Talton Lodge has a large luxury indoor fully appointed kitchen. The Barn has the same with a range cooker.
- **Dining Room:** The Barn can seat 12, the kitchen 10 and the giant tipi up to 40, or up to 90 May to August when 2 giant tipis are up.
- **Sitting Room:** There is plenty of soft seating around the fires in the giant tipis and Barn. There is also an HD projector, good speakers and a screen.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** There are speakers for an iPod/MP3 player in the giant tipi. HD projector, big pull down screens and decent stereos in the Barn.
- **Games Room:** Table tennis table under the covered pergola or outside. Pétanque also available.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** Wood burning stoves in all the accommodation at Talton Lodge. We provide a small supply of wood. Please bring/buy extra if you need to.
- **Bedrooms:** A mix of doubles, and twins, with plenty of flexibility depending on your group configuration.
- **Linen:** Linen and towels all provided.
- **Bathrooms:** 3 loo and shower rooms in cedar pavilion. 2 loos and 1 bath/shower in the Barn.
- **Children's Facilities:** Farm animals and pets, travel cot and high chair, rope swing, games box, table tennis. Kitchen garden is enclosed so its safe to let them run around.
- **Outdoor:** Bikes and canoes for hire. Tennis court. Hot tub at House. We organise treasure hunts, wood fired pizza nights, cookery courses.
- **Swimming Pool:** Brand new beautiful natural swimming pool. swimming area of 12mx6m surrounded by planting, very deep, unheated.
- **Parking:** There is ample parking.
- **Smoking:** Allowed outside. Butts in ashtrays please.
