This beautiful weatherboard East Sussex family holiday house near Rye is the perfect venue for friends, families, girls getaways or hen weekends, in a lovely setting and close to beaches, vineyards, restaurants and pubs. Tanhouse is a delightful house with beautiful spaces both inside and out with a swimming pool and glorious gardens. Inside, living rooms provide maximum comfort and luxury, with plenty of space for being together and quiet corners for curling up with a book. The kitchen comes fully equipped with high end appliances for self catering but with the option to hire in a private caterer for a special occasion. Formal inside dining and a covered veranda outside provide a choice of eating areas, whether it's a 3 course dinner or a pizza cooked in the Ooni oven. Tanhouse has an outdoor heated pool during the warmer months, with a sun terrace and loungers, guaranteed to be a hit with everyone in your group.  Enjoy breakfast or afternoon tea on the veranda listening to the birds singing and taking in the gorgeous scent of lavender and roses in the stunning manicured gardens. 2 dogs are welcome and the fully fenced off garden facilitates their safety. 5 luxuriously designed bedrooms are configured as superking, king or double rooms and all have exquisite soft furnishings, original features and great garden views. The master bedroom has an en suite shower while the shared bathroom promises an elegant roll top bath and a shower cubicle. There's also a loo on the ground floor. Tanhouse is superbly positioned near the south coast - head to fabulous beaches at Camber Sands and Winchelsea, or take to the coastal path which is just 15 minutes away. Rye is a charming Medieval town with cobbled streets and Georgian architecture, and home to many independent galleries and cosy pubs. Check in from 4pm, check out by 10am. Occasionally we can offer early check in and late departure times – please ask when booking. - - Please note quiet hours are between 10pm and 9am.This is a quiet countryside venue and therefore we expect our guests to be mindful of our neighbours so please adhere to the quiet times set (this is more relevant to being outside than in!).  No loud music is allowed outside at any time. However please feel free to play music inside with the doors and windows shut.  - - No glass is allowed near the pool or on the grass. Plastic glasses and jugs are provided.  - - The cover should be on the pool when not in use.
