It has a rural location and benefits from stunning views to Tennyson Down and the 1970's Pop Festival Site. Inside the house there are numerous rooms for guests to spread themselves out over, including a games room and plenty of open fires for the colder months. The farmhouse includes 10 bedrooms of which 7 are doubles (including 1 family room), 1 is twin, 1 is triple and 1 bunk room. There is also a welcoming kitchen with an Aga and an area for informal eating, a conservatory with magnificent views and a beautiful beamed dining room. There is plenty of room to roam about outside in the delightful garden with amazing views where you can sit and watch the sun go down. Tapnell Farm was once a working dairy farm with hundreds of cows. It is still an arable farm, but is now better known for Tapnell Farm Park and The Cow Co Restaurant- two of the most visited places on the island. Tapnell Farm Park opened in 2016- an expansion of the farm's playbarn, and now has lots of animal feeding- including wallabies and meerkats, as well as soft play, pedal go karts, a bouncing pillow and a café serving up delicious snacks. The Cow Co Restaurant and Bar is one of the most highly recommended places to eat on the Isle of Wight; serving a delicious Beef & Dairy inspired menu, set against the backdrop of a stylishly converted Swiss barn at Tapnell Farm. We offer diners a wide choice of both meat and vegetarian options, for lunches and evening meals. Our vibrant rustic restaurant, and fully-licensed bar, are a great place to meet for coffee, cake and cocktails!
