## About The Property

The coastal retreat of Portwrinkle is a wonderful place to get together with extended family and friends for a seaside escape or a special occasion. Thanckes House offers fantastic facilities including a heated indoor pool, a hot tub, games room and a home cinema, guaranteed to keep all of the generations happy. Guests also have access to the free to use on-site Spa, bookable for 1 hour time slots that ensures it's private for your group during that time.

For larger groups Thanckes Lodge almost next door sleeps a further 6.

It's just a short walk to Whitsand Bay, regarded as being one of the best stretches on this coastline, the ideal spot for a family beach day with sand and safe swimming and water sports on calmer days. For keen walkers the Coastal Path offers hiking with glorious views, taking in nearby gems including Looe, Polperro, Seaton Village and Downderry.

The design of Thanckes House is all about the sea views, with floor to ceiling windows in the lounge and some bedroom balconies. Inside dining for 12 and covered dining outside mean you can make the most of good weather, with 2 long tables allowing everyone to eat together. The hot tub is a lovely place to relax with a glass of wine, looking out at Whitsand Bay and The Rame Peninsula. The cinema room with seating is perfect for a film or catching up on the latest Netflix offering, and the games room is well equipped for family entertainment. The indoor pool is a highlight, heated all year round with doors opening onto the terrace and sun loungers for soaking up the sunshine.

A full length balcony upstairs is a great spot for a coffee. Bedrooms are a mix of kings and twins, some zip and links. All are beautifully decorated with stylish soft furnishings, many with gorgeous sea views. 3 bedrooms have en suites and bathrooms overall are plentiful for a large group.

There are excellent attractions nearby; wander into Crafthole for lunch at The Finnygook Pub, breakfast at The Dovecote or enjoy a lavish Cornish cream tea at The Jolly Roger. Looe is a pretty harbour town, arrange a boat trip or take time out rock pooling with the children. Whitsand Bay Golf Course is a stones throw from your doorstep.
