Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends. The Art Deco House UK, Shanklin, Isle of Wight, sleeps 6 - 15 in 6 bedrooms.
From the moment you step inside this magnificent abode, you will be transported back in time to the era of 1930s Art Deco. Introducing the Art Deco House UK, a unique getaway filled with luxurious details at every turn and sea views that will take your breath away. The grand scale of the property makes for an excellent place to celebrate special occasions or reunions with family and friends.
The Art Deco House UK has been lovingly restored to the beauty of the 1930's and is the perfect destination for a group (from 2 to 16) who want to stay where new memories are created. Many guests come to celebrate something special, or just come to enjoy this very special property sitting on top of the cliff, with uninterrupted views out to sea. There are six very large bedrooms plus the Morning Room, which can be an office space or a 7th bedroom. One of the downstairs bedrooms has its own dedicated wheelchair entrance and en-suite wet room if any of your guests required extra accessibility.
The wood panelled dining room can easily seat up to 18 people, with elbow room, around the magnificent dining table and then, after dining, you can retire to the beautiful Drawing Room which, like the rest of the house, will transport you back to the decadent and glamorous styles of the Art Deco times.
Each bedroom is unique, wonderfully decorated and with an attention to detail that really enhances your stay. The original "Singer" sewing machine on top of the wardrobe, or possibly a suitcase from the 1930's, the lovely dressing table set, rescued from the era.
The house is a constant labour of love, and has been revived with early 20th century Art Deco furniture painstakingly sourced by the owners from all over England, with original artwork from the era by Viennese and English art school students and various ornaments and glassware from the 1930s, from wherever it can be sourced. That is probably why the Art Deco House UK has been featured in Coast Magazine (2024), in "Home and Antiques" magazine (2024), in the Times (2023) on the BBC (2022), and has been awarded Silver from the Beautiful South as one of the leading Self Catering Properties in the whole of the south of England.
