This unique 200 year old barn conversion was designed with luxury and leisure in mind. An exclusive destination for multi generation families, friends, walkers, cyclists, small wedding parties, retreats and corporate groups. Hen and Stag parties are welcome by prior arrangement. The property provides accommodation for guests of The Norman’s, Woolas Barn, Priory Cottages, Hornington Manor and The Oakwood at Ryther wedding venues.
Set over three floors, The Carriage House has 8 bedrooms and 6 contemporary bathrooms, and there are 4 well equipped kitchens and 4 living areas. Groups can also use the Hygge, a great social space opposite the Carriage House, which can seat 14 at a large table, perfect for dining together. The private enclosed garden is close by with seating, gazebos and barbecues to borrow on request.
The Relaxation And Wellness Space (RAWS) is available for an extra charge, with a 6 seater hot tub, bathroom with shower, open plan kitchen and a large decked area with lights, lawns and a firepit. Outside areas can be covered in bad weather, so can be used all year round. The bar and barbecue are perfect for parties and events, and there's even a yoga or dance studio. This space is available until 10pm only.
The mix of kings, doubles, twins and a bunk bedroom work well for a mixed gathering, the ground floor is suitable for anyone less mobile. Rooms are stylish and individually decorated with attractive furnishings and colourful touches.
Bilbrough enjoys a lovely rural location with walks from the door including to the village pub in Askham Bryan (2.4m). The designer outlet is a short drive away and the vibrant historical city of York is around 15 minutes by car or the nearby Park and Ride. The A64 is a minute's drive away making it easy to access Leeds, Harrogate, the coast, the Yorkshire Dales and Yorkshire Moors.
