Just over a mile from the lovely village of Llangadog, it's the perfect base for getting out into the surrounding hills to enjoy everything that the area has to offer. The Carriage Rooms are also perfect for guests attending weddings at local venues, for a weekend break with a group of friends, hikers or cyclists, or for a small corporate group getting involved in teambuilding activities.
In the attic there's a large dining area and self catering kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking for a large group and there's a dining table and chairs for 16 guests for a sociable supper together while planning the next adventure in Bannau Brycheiniog, on the Black Mountain or at the stunning waterfalls of the Neath Valley. The Carriage Rooms also has a secure bike shed for cyclists.
4 of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, with the other 4 rooms on the 1st floor. All are simple but comfortable, with essential tea and coffee making facilities, and all have zip and link beds which can be set up as doubles or twins depending on your group configuration. 6 bedrooms have an en suite shower and 2 larger bathrooms have a bath.
Amazing local walks include a Black Mountain circular hike with spectacular sights including Llyn Y Fan Fach and Llyn Y Fan Fawr, lakes with legendary stories attached. The Neath Valley walks are also within easy each, impressive waterfalls including Sgwyd Yr Eira which you can stand behind - although you will get wet! The highest peak in South Wales, Pen Y Fan, is a very popular climb from dawn to dusk. A traffic-free cycle path runs from Llandeilo to Carmarthen along the river Tywi. The Wales Coastal Path is an hour away, with fabulous Mumbles beaches perfect for a great day out, or head to Swansea.
Llandovery and Llandeilo both have plenty of eateries to choose from, and Llandovery has a farmers' market once a month. Carmarthen is steeped in history, or head to Dinefwr historic house and castle.
