Located in the heart of the Cotswolds, this beautiful eco chic, award winning, stone cottage sleeping 8 covers a lot of bases for multi generational families and friends wanting to spend time together for a holiday or celebration. The Chestnuts is also popular with walking groups.

Built in the 1850s, this charming period cottage has a wealth of delightful features including an inglenook fireplace and vaulted ceiling beams, and yet has been seamlessly renovated using sustainable methods to provide plenty of modern conveniences. Living areas are spacious, and a separate dining room and 3 lounges provide plenty of options for a mixed or extended family group to spread out.

The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals to be taken together in the dining room, where French doors open onto the pretty gardens. There's also outside seating and facilities for a barbecue if the weather remains fine. Morning coffee or drinks before dinner can be enjoyed on the lawn where there's a picnic bench and parasol, a chance to relax while the children let off steam. The beautiful gardens at The Chestnuts are mature and thoughtfully designed, extending living areas to the outdoors.

Bedrooms are configured as 2 queens and 2 kings, individually designed with garden or village views and 2 with French doors and Juliet balconies. Bathroom facilities are luxurious with freestanding baths and high end fixtures - 3 full bathrooms.

Lots of parking is available (one car at the property and further free parking within the village), with an on-site EV charger.

The unspoilt rural village of Shilton has a pub serving food just steps away from The Chestnuts. Burford is a lovely walk or short drive away, a lively historic town, which is the gateway to the Cotswolds and full of impressive architecture, unique shops and plenty of restaurants, cafes and pubs to choose from. Diddly Squat farm shop, Jeremy Clarksons Pub 'The Farmers Dog' and Daylesford are nearby, and there's a plethora of family attractions including Cotswold Wildlife Park, Adam Henson's park farm, Blenheim Palace, Sudeley and Warwick Castles. Cheltenham is host to several literary and music festivals as well as horse racing.
